JAKARTA | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat/IOH) demonstrated the reliability of its network during the 2026 Lebaran homecoming period, handling a surge in data traffic of up to 20% compared to the same period last year.
This milestone followed an 11-hour TikTok livestream along the Jakarta–Yogyakarta route, which earned recognition from the
Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI).

These figures reflect the high connectivity demand of millions of customers during Lebaran travel. The company also reduced network downtime by 20% compared to last year, marking a significant improvement in service quality.

Cheung highlighted that
Indosat uses AI technology to monitor network traffic in real-time, predict congestion, and automatically optimize capacity. This system covers 77
homecoming routes, including 36 highway sections, 31 non-highway roads, and 10 railway routes, spanning approximately 8,121 km and 797 strategic points of interest.
Over 2,500 engineers supervise the network from 46 offices and 16 emergency stations nationwide. The AI system identifies potential bottlenecks up to 60% faster and ensures that Indosat's 4G and 5G networks operate synergistically, maintaining stable connections along highways, rest stops, train stations, and tourist destinations.

Traffic Peaks in Lampung and Sumatra
