BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM – The Secretary of the Aceh Provincial Government, M. Nasir, officially opened the 2026 Provincial Working Conference (Rakerprov) of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Aceh on Friday, May 8, 2026, in Banda Aceh. The provincial government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the sports sector as part of efforts to develop qualified, resilient, and competitive human resources.
The event was attended by representatives from
KONI Aceh, district and city KONI offices, as well as various sports associations across the province. M. Nasir emphasized that the Rakerprov serves as a strategic platform to evaluate achievements and set future directions for sports development in Aceh.

"Sports are an important instrument to shape the character of the younger generation, strengthen unity, and promote the region's name at both national and international levels," Nasir said.

Professional Management and Sustainable Athlete Development
Nasir also highlighted the importance of professional sports management. He stressed that continuous athlete development, along with efficient and targeted budget utilization, is essential to producing Acehnese athletes capable of competing at national and international levels.
He urged KONI Aceh to design work programs that are measurable, realistic, and performance-oriented to ensure sustainable sports development.
"We hope

Nasir further called for stronger collaboration between KONI, local governments, the business sector, and all sports stakeholders to build a healthy and sustainable sports ecosystem in Aceh.
Early Talent Development as a Key to SuccessHe also underlined the importance of early talent identification and development in sports, starting from childhood through to elite performance levels.
Nasir expressed hope that Aceh will continue to produce athletes who are not only successful in competition but also demonstrate discipline, strong character, and a high fighting spirit.

At the conclusion of his remarks, Nasir expressed appreciation to the organizing committee for the successful implementation of the
KONI Aceh 2026 Rakerprov. He called on all participants to engage actively, seriously, and constructively in order to achieve the best outcomes for sports development in the province.
