JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM - The Jambi Regional Police (Polda Jambi), in collaboration with the Jambi Provincial Board of the National Domino Sports Organization (ORADO), organized the Open Tournament Domino Kapolda Cup 2026 as part of the 80th Bhayangkara Day celebrations. The tournament was held on Thursday evening, July 30, 2026, at the JBC Pavilion on Kapten A. Bakarudin Street, Selamat Subdistrict, Danau Sipin District, Jambi City.
The event served not only as a sporting competition but also as a platform to strengthen community bonds, promote the values of fair play, and further enhance the relationship between the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the public through positive sporting activities.
The tournament was officially opened by the Deputy Chief of Jambi Regional Police, Brig. Gen. Pol. Benny Ali, representing the Chief of Jambi Regional Police, accompanied by several senior officials of Polda Jambi.
Among those attending the opening ceremony were Jambi Provincial KONI Chairman AKBP Mat Sanusi, KONI Deputy Chairman I Adri,
ORADO Jambi Chairman Kemas Alfansuri, representatives from the Jambi Provincial Youth and Sports Office, and other officials from
ORADO Jambi.
The event began with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, followed by a prayer. Opening remarks were then delivered by the chairman of the organizing committee, the chairman of ORADO Jambi, and the chairman of KONI Jambi before Brig. Gen. Pol. Benny Ali officially declared the tournament open.

In his remarks, Brig. Gen. Pol. Benny Ali emphasized that a domino tournament is far more than a competition for championship titles. According to him, the sport strengthens relationships among participants while promoting fairness, strategic thinking, concentration, accuracy, and sound decision-making.
He noted that domino also carries significant educational value by fostering honesty, discipline, and responsibility. Beyond pursuing sporting achievements, the tournament offers participants an opportunity to build friendships with domino players from different regions.
"This tournament is not merely about determining a champion. It is intended to strengthen unity, promote fair play, improve concentration and strategic thinking, and reinforce the spirit of togetherness. We encourage every participant to compete honestly, with discipline and mutual respect, so that this event becomes a healthy and meaningful competition," Brig. Gen. Pol. Benny Ali said.
