DARUL MAKMUR POLICE STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP: Aipda Dedy Afrizal of Darul Makmur Police meets youth representatives and residents of Suka Raja Village, Nagan Raya Regency, during the Saweu Keude Kupi initiative on Tuesday, 27 October 2026.

NAGAN RAYA | INDATANEWS.COM - Darul Makmur Police, under the Nagan Raya Police Headquarters, has strengthened its partnership with the local community through the Saweu Keude Kupi initiative. On Tuesday, 27 October 2026, police officers met youth representatives and residents of Suka Raja Village, Darul Makmur District, Nagan Raya Regency, to encourage direct communication and promote public safety and order.

Aipda Dedy Afrizal of Darul Makmur Police led the meeting at around 10 am Western Indonesian Time (WIB). In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, he spoke with youth representatives and residents about the importance of maintaining a positive relationship with the Indonesian National Police (Polri). He also emphasised the community's shared responsibility for maintaining security and order in their neighbourhoods.

Through direct engagement, police aim to make communication more open and accessible. The initiative gives residents an opportunity to raise concerns, share information and report developments affecting local security directly to the relevant officers.

Saweu Keude Kupi Opens Dialogue with Residents

The Saweu Keude Kupi initiative encourages informal conversations between police officers and members of the public. By creating a welcoming environment, it allows residents to discuss everyday concerns and highlight developments that could threaten peace or security in their communities.

During the meeting in Suka Raja Village, Aipda Dedy Afrizal urged youth representatives and residents to maintain good relations with the police and play an active role in preserving public order. He encouraged the community not only to follow security advice but also to take responsibility for helping maintain a safe and peaceful neighbourhood.

Regular communication enables residents and police to develop a better understanding of local conditions and coordinate appropriate responses when problems arise. An open relationship can also strengthen public trust and help ensure that security concerns are addressed appropriately in accordance with applicable regulations.

Residents Urged to Report Security Concerns

Aipda Dedy Afrizal also called on residents to report any potential threats to public safety and order without delay. They can contact the Bhabinkamtibmas, a police officer responsible for community engagement in a designated area, or report their concerns directly to Darul Makmur Police.

Information from the public helps officers identify potential problems at an early stage and respond in accordance with established procedures. Reports are particularly important when residents observe situations that could disrupt public order, threaten safety or cause unrest within their neighbourhoods.

Youth representatives also have an important role to play. As active members of their communities, they can share security information, encourage a stronger sense of collective responsibility and help resolve disagreements through constructive communication.

Effective cooperation requires more than a police presence. It also depends on residents being willing to take an active role in protecting their neighbourhoods. When both sides communicate promptly, potential problems can be identified earlier and addressed according to their urgency.

Police Commit to a Community-Focused Approach

Through Saweu Keude Kupi, Darul Makmur Police aims to strengthen communication and cooperation with residents on an ongoing basis. Community participation is regarded as an important factor in maintaining a safe, orderly and stable environment throughout Nagan Raya Regency.

The meeting in Suka Raja Village took place in a safe and orderly atmosphere. Darul Makmur Police reaffirmed its commitment to a community-focused and approachable style of policing, while continuing to build partnerships to maintain security and public order, known in Indonesia as Harkamtibmas.

The closer relationship established through face-to-face conversations is intended to extend beyond individual events and develop into sustained communication between police and residents. Stronger partnerships can improve the flow of information, raise awareness of neighbourhood safety and support joint efforts to prevent potential disturbances.

By involving youth representatives and local residents, Darul Makmur Police aims to reinforce the principle that maintaining public order is a shared responsibility. This partnership is an important foundation for a safe and harmonious community in Nagan Raya Regency. (IDNC)
