BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Secretary of the Aceh Provincial Government, M. Nasir, representing Governor Muzakir Manaf, officially inaugurated the Takbir Parade marking Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah on Tuesday evening (May 26, 2026) in Banda Aceh.
The ceremonial opening marked the start of a vibrant religious procession that brought together government officials, religious leaders, and thousands of residents across the city.
Strong Public Participation in Citywide Celebration

Hundreds of participants filled the main streets of Banda Aceh, joining the traditional Takbir parade in celebration of the Islamic holiday.
The atmosphere was both festive and spiritual as participants echoed Takbir, Tahmid, and Tahlil throughout the city, reflecting the deep-rooted religious traditions of Aceh.

Nasir officially launched the parade, which is traditionally organized by the Aceh Provincial Government as part of the community's long-established cultural and religious heritage in welcoming Eid al-Adha. The event continues to hold strong significance among the people of Aceh, reflecting the region's Islamic identity and unity.
Throughout the celebration, residents gathered at various key points across the city to witness and take part in the procession, creating a lively yet solemn atmosphere.

The government emphasized that the meaning of sacrifice extends beyond material offerings, encompassing time, effort, thought, and dedication to the common good.

Authorities also urged the public to reinforce Islamic brotherhood (Ukhuwah Islamiyah), national solidarity (Ukhuwah Wathaniyah), and human solidarity (Ukhuwah Insaniyah).
"Aceh is known for its Islamic values, gentle culture, and strong sense of community. Therefore, this Takbir night should be observed in an orderly, peaceful, and dignified manner," the statement read.
