HBM in Deli Serdang Strengthens Muhammadiyah Consolidation Ahead of 2027 Congress

DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Muhammadiyah Branch Leadership (Pimpinan Cabang Muhammadiyah/PCM) of Tanjung Morawa hosted the Hari Ber-Muhammadiyah (HBM) grand study gathering for the entire Deli Serdang Regency. The event was held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the district mosque in Tanjung Morawa under the theme "Strengthening the Mission that Enlightens, Illuminates, and Advances Muhammadiyah."

The gathering brought together leaders, members, and organizational representatives from across the regency, highlighting the importance of internal consolidation within the Muhammadiyah movement.

Consolidation of Dakwah and Organizational Strength

The event was attended by key figures, including Prof. Dr. H. Hasimsyah Nasution, Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership of North Sumatra (PWM Sumatera Utara), H. Ibnu Hajar S.Sos., M.Pd, Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership of Deli Serdang (PDM Deli Serdang), as well as representatives from Aisyiyah Deli Serdang. Leaders from all Muhammadiyah branch offices across the regency were also present.

Participants also included cadres, branch leaders, Aisyiyah members, school principals, educators from Muhammadiyah schools at MTs and SD levels in Tanjung Morawa, as well as youth organizations affiliated with Muhammadiyah.

Leadership Highlights and Preparation for the National Congress

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. H. Hasimsyah Nasution emphasized the importance of organizational strengthening ahead of major national events.

"This Hari Ber-Muhammadiyah in Tanjung Morawa reflects the duty of organization and the importance of Islamic values. It is especially significant as we prepare for the upcoming Muktamar in North Sumatra. Muhammadiyah in Deli Serdang holds a major responsibility in supporting its success while strengthening internal organizational ties," he stated.

Meanwhile, H. Ibnu Hajar S.Sos., M.Pd expressed appreciation for the successful implementation of the event.

"We are proud and grateful that this year's HBM was attended directly by the Chairman of PWM Sumatera Utara. This is a great motivation for us. It also supports key programs and preparations for the upcoming Muktamar, which is planned to be held in Deli Serdang in November 2026," he said.

Programs, Social Values, and Digital Transformation Initiatives

Beyond the main religious study sessions, the event also introduced several supporting programs, including bank account registration with Bank Danamon, the introduction of electronic membership cards (e-KTA), and the Gerakan Amal Saleh initiative to strengthen social responsibility within the organization.

Event organizer and PCM Tanjung Morawa Chairman, Muchlis Muchtar, stated that HBM serves as a continuous platform for education and consolidation.

"We did not only prepare a religious study forum, but also programs such as Bank Danamon account registration, e-KTA introduction, and the movement of good deeds," he explained.

He added that the event is designed to strengthen organizational unity at all levels.

"HBM serves as a space for learning, gathering, and evaluating the Muhammadiyah movement from the branch to regional levels in Deli Serdang, while also strengthening the tradition of Islamic knowledge culture," he said.

The event marked an important milestone for Muhammadiyah in Deli Serdang, reinforcing its da'wah mission, strengthening solidarity, and further consolidating its organizational presence within society. (IDNC)
