DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - Deli Serdang Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan officially opened the Taman Abadi Maitreya Columbarium on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in Bintang Meriah Village, Pancur Batu District, Deli Serdang Regency. The columbarium adopts an environmentally friendly concept combined with futuristic architecture, making it one of the larger columbarium complexes in Indonesia.
Construction of the Taman Abadi Maitreya Columbarium took two years. The operators developed the site with particular attention to environmental protection while maintaining the aesthetic appeal of modern building architecture. The concept makes the columbarium not only a place for storing the ashes of the deceased, but also part of a carefully planned area in which environmental considerations and thoughtful spatial planning are incorporated into its design.

He also underscored the importance of involving local residents at various stages of the project, from the construction process through the future operation of the columbarium. The Deli Serdang Government also urged the operators to maintain their social commitment through sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.
