RIAU | INDATANEWS.COM - The Indian Consulate General in Medan took part in the virtual signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Universitas Nalanda (India) and Universitas Riau (Indonesia) on May 25, 2026. The agreement marks a significant milestone in enhancing academic cooperation between the two countries.
The ceremony was hosted by Universitas Riau via Zoom and attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Sri Indarti, SE., M.Si., university representatives, Vice Rector of Universitas Nalanda Sachin Chaturvedi, and Indian Consul General Ravi Shanker Goel from the Indian Consulate General in Medan.

Expanding Exchange and Research Programs
Under the MoU, both institutions committed to strengthening international academic collaboration through student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, academic discussions, seminars, and other educational activities. The partnership aims to broaden learning opportunities and foster a more connected global academic environment.
Support for Bilateral Education Ties
The Indian Consul General welcomed the agreement, highlighting its importance in deepening educational, cultural, and research ties between India and Indonesia. He emphasized that such partnerships can create long-term positive impacts on both academic communities. (IDNC)
