DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Regional Leadership Board (DPW) of the Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB) in North Sumatra is fast-tracking the restructuring of local party branches (DPC) ahead of the 2029 presidential election. The DPW PKB North Sumatra's assistant team is actively present on the ground to ensure that DPC structures are fully optimized—a key step to strengthening internal consolidation and political readiness.
The initiative was announced during a meeting between the assistant team and the chairman of
DPC PKB Deli Serdang, Said Hadi, as part of a Ramadan Safari event and a joint iftar at Warkop Bangsa Tamora, Sultan Serdang Road, Pasar 8, Tanjung Morawa, on Friday, February 27, 2026.

Accelerating DPC Structures and Member Recruitment
Ir. Potan Edy Siregar explained that the team is pushing for the accelerated formation of DPC structures across North Sumatra. "The assistant team monitors the readiness of all district and city leaderships and serves as a coordination platform in preparation for the 2029 presidential election," he said.
In addition to building party structures, the team evaluates the electability of DPC chairpersons and potential candidates. The recruitment of new PKB members is also underway.
"PKB opens its doors to all societal groups, including the younger generation, Gen Z, to actively participate as members," Potan Edy Siregar added.
DPW PKB North Sumatra plans numerous political initiatives to increase engagement among members and the public. Potan Edy Siregar expressed confidence that these efforts will strengthen the party's position in North Sumatra and support the national strategy ahead of the 2029 election.
"Even though the election is still a few years away, it is important to act early as political dynamics in North Sumatra are evolving rapidly," he noted.

Synergy Between DPC and PAC Leadership in Deli SerdangDPC PKB Deli Serdang chairman Said Hadi welcomed the assistant team's presence, emphasizing the importance of creating synergy between party leadership, local community leaders, and voter bases across regions.
"We want to ensure PKB remains highly competitive and represents public interests at the national level," Hadi said.
A key strategic step involves the issuance of official decrees (SK) for the 20 already established Sub-Branch Leaderships (PAC). "Currently, 20 PACs have been formed, with only two still in process. We hope the DPW PKB North Sumatra will issue the SK soon so that the leaderships can fully carry out their duties," he added.
Hadi expressed confidence in DPW Chairman Ashari Tambunan's ability to enhance the party's performance, both in election results and in placing top-performing members in legislative bodies at all levels. During the 2024 legislative elections, PKB successfully secured dr. Dwi Fitriana, M.Kes, from North Sumatra 3 (Sumut 3) in the Provincial DPRD.
"PKB managed to place a member from Sumut 3 at the provincial level—a historic achievement," Hadi said.
Additionally, Ashari Tambunan won a seat in the DPR RI from Sumut 1. Hadi stressed the importance of building on these successes as the 2029 legislative and presidential elections approach.
"We must expand these achievements as the contests for legislative and presidential elections 2029 draw closer," Hadi concluded. (IDNC)
