SABANG | INDATANEWS.COM – Marlina Muzakir, the Aceh Early Childhood Education (PAUD) Ambassador, has emphasized the crucial role of fish consumption in supporting healthy brain development among children in Sabang. She highlighted that the protein and nutrients found in fish are essential for raising children who are healthy, strong, and intellectually capable.
She delivered the message during a visit to SD Negeri 5 Kota Sabang on Tuesday morning, June 12, 2026.
Government's Gemarikan Program Supports Nutrition Awareness

This reflects the state's commitment to preparing a stunting-free generation that is healthy, intelligent, and globally competitive," Marlina Muzakir said.
As Chair of Forikan Aceh, she also encouraged parents to regularly include fish in their children's diet. "Children should learn to love fish so they grow healthier, stronger, and smarter," she added.

Marlina Muzakir also underscored that Aceh's waters are rich in highly nutritious fish species, including tuna (Thunnus), sardines (Sardina pilchardus), mackerel (Rastrelliger spp.), and freshwater fish such as catfish (Clarias spp.).
"It does not have to be expensive salmon. Our local fish also contain high levels of protein and essential nutrients. Both marine and freshwater fish are highly valuable for children's nutrition," she explained.
To encourage children's interest in eating fish, she suggested creative food innovations such as fish nuggets, fish sausages, and fish balls.

Hands-On Support at the School
During her visit, Marlina Muzakir, together with the PAUD Ambassador of Sabang City, Nuri Zulkifli, and Deputy PAUD Ambassador Erwani Meuthia, distributed school supplies and fish-based food packages to students. The initiative aims to promote healthy eating habits and support early childhood development. (IDNC)
