BATAM | INDATANEWS.COM – The Barelang Police under the Batam Kota Sector Police (Polsek Batam Kota) responded rapidly to a citizen report received through the emergency call service 110 regarding a suspected assault incident within its jurisdiction. Officers were immediately deployed to the scene on Friday, June 5, 2026, at around 04.00 WIB, located at Villa Pesona Asri residential complex, Belian Village, Batam Kota District, Batam City.

Batam Kota Police Chief AKP Benny Syahrizal, the patrol unit quickly mobilized to the location. The responding team included Aiptu Welly T. Simanjuntak, Bripka A. Rahim, Brigpol Bilboris, Bripda M. Siddiq, and Bripda Zul Akbar.
Immediate Response to Emergency Call
According to initial information, the report was submitted by Erlangga, who alleged a violent assault involving a sharp weapon. The victim, identified as Alfif, reportedly suffered stab wounds during the incident. Following the report, officers immediately initiated preliminary investigative steps at the scene.
Upon arrival, police personnel conducted on-site questioning of the victim and several nearby witnesses. An eyewitness identified as Putra, who allegedly saw the incident directly, was also interviewed to support the early investigation process.

Police Secure Initial Investigation at the SceneAuthorities ensured that the situation remained under control while gathering early statements and securing information from the location. The victim was later advised to officially file a police report at the Batam Kota Police Station to strengthen the legal process and support further investigation.
Police emphasized that all evidence and witness accounts would be processed in accordance with standard procedures.

In addition to handling the incident, officers also delivered public safety advisories to local residents, urging heightened vigilance and prompt reporting of any suspicious activity.
AKP Benny Syahrizal reaffirmed that all reports received through the 110 emergency hotline are handled promptly and professionally.
