LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM - The Torgamba Police have reaffirmed their commitment to combating drug-related crime within their jurisdiction after successfully uncovering a suspected narcotics case in Asam Jawa Village, Torgamba District, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency.
Acting under the leadership of Police Chief AKP Sunipan Gurusinga, S.H., officers swiftly responded to public reports and launched an immediate investigation into an area believed to be used as a drug distribution point.

In response, he instructed the Head of Investigation Unit, Iptu Rajo Irawan Hamonangan, along with an operational team, to conduct covert surveillance.
The investigation confirmed growing suspicion of illicit drug transactions in the area, which had reportedly caused concern among local residents.

The suspect was identified as RIKI alias RIBAK (32), a resident of Dusun Sumberjo Pasar III C, Torgamba District. To ensure transparency during the operation, the village head, Kasiban, was also present at the scene.
Drugs Hidden Inside Motorcycle Seat
Read Also: Torgamba Police Educate Students on Drug Prevention and Youth Safety A search of the suspect revealed a small white plastic box containing nine small plastic packets suspected to contain methamphetamine (shabu), along with one medium-sized packet. The drugs were concealed inside the seat compartment of Honda Supra X 125 motorcycle without a license plate.
The total gross weight of the seized substance was 2.16 grams.
Police also confiscated additional evidence, including plastic packaging materials, a Honda Supra X 125 motorcycle, a Vivo Y04S mobile phone, a plastic spoon, a glass pipe (pyrex), cash amounting to IDR 250,000, and a lighter.

The suspect and all evidence have been taken to the
Torgamba Police Station for further investigation. Authorities are continuing witness examinations and preparing the case for transfer to the narcotics unit.
AKP Sunipan Gurusinga emphasized that police patrols and enforcement efforts will be intensified to eradicate drug trafficking in Labuhanbatu Selatan. He stressed that drugs pose a serious threat to the younger generation and social order.
