MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Women's rights activists in Indonesia are increasingly targeted by gender-based cyber violence. Courageous women face online threats, harassment, and intimidation simply for standing up for truth and justice.
Cyber violence uses digital platforms to attack women because of their gender. The assaults range from threatening messages and harassment to the spread of false personal information.
The Sumut Bersatu Alliance (ASB) organized a public discussion to shed light on this growing issue. ASB emphasized that women activists are often targeted because they are perceived as a threat to existing power structures.
