JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM – Jambi Regional Police Chief, Krisno H. Siregar, officially launched the 2026 competency assessment for investigators and assistant investigators of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the Swiss-Belhotel Jambi.
The program is considered a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening the professionalism, quality, and integrity of police investigators amid increasingly complex law enforcement challenges in Indonesia.
The event was attended by Head of the Assessment Team and Senior Investigator of Bareskrim Polri, Agus Santoso, Deputy Jambi Police Chief Benny Ali, senior officials of the Jambi Regional Police, the national police assessment team, as well as investigators and assistant investigators from the Jambi Police Department.

"Competency certification is a crucial step in producing precise, professional, and modern investigators who are prepared to face increasingly complex law enforcement challenges," Agus Santoso stated.
He urged all participants to undergo the assessment process seriously while prioritizing honesty, discipline, and responsibility so that the results accurately reflect each participant's capabilities and competence.

Transparent and Accountable Law EnforcementDuring the event, Krisno H. Siregar also praised the achievements of the Criminal Investigation and Water Police Directorate of the Jambi Regional Police for their success in solving criminal cases throughout 2025 and 2026.

Krisno H. Siregar said.
He further explained that the competency certification program for investigators and assistant investigators is based on Police Regulation Number 3 of 2024, which aims to enhance professionalism, competence, and integrity within the Indonesian National Police.
According to him, the
competency assessment process must be conducted objectively, transparently, and responsibly to produce qualified and competent investigators.
"I encourage all participants and supervising officers to fully support this certification process, become role models, and continue promoting the importance of competency improvement within their respective work units," he added.

Commitment to Building Qualified Police PersonnelFollowing his remarks, Krisno H. Siregar officially opened the 2026 competency assessment for Polri investigators and assistant investigators, followed by the implementation of the assessment stages.
Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Regional Police, Erlan Munaji, stated that the assessment demonstrates the strong commitment of the
Jambi Police to improving the quality of police personnel, particularly in the investigative sector.
"The Jambi Police Chief emphasized that improving investigators' competence is an important part of creating professional, transparent, and fair law enforcement. Through this assessment, we aim to produce precise, modern, and high-integrity investigators capable of meeting the growing public demand for quality legal services," Erlan Munaji said. (IDNC)
