LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM – The Narcotics Unit of the Labuhanbatu Selatan Police has arrested two suspected drug dealers in Suka Makmur Hamlet, Sabungan Village, Sungai Kanan Subdistrict, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at around 4:30 p.m. local time. Authorities also seized approximately 99.34 grams of crystal methamphetamine (locally known as sabu).
The operation was launched following a public complaint submitted through the
Dumas Presisi reporting system, which alerted police to suspected drug activity in the area.
Public Tip Triggers Swift Police Action

Officers conducted surveillance after noticing two men behaving suspiciously while riding a motorcycle.
The intelligence-driven response allowed officers to quickly identify and track the suspects in the Sungai Kanan area.

During the operation, both suspects were taken into custody and transported for further investigation.
Nearly 100 Grams of Meth Seized

Laboratory confirmation later identified the substance as methamphetamine weighing 99.34 grams.
Police also confiscated several items believed to be linked to drug distribution activities, including an iPhone XR, a red notebook, IDR 700,000 in cash, and the motorcycle used by the suspects. From the second suspect, EHS alias Hamdan, officers seized a Realme smartphone.

"Based on public information, we were able to quickly identify and arrest the suspects. The investigation is ongoing," AKP Sahat said.
Police Continue Hunt for Suspected Supplier

AKP Sahat also emphasized the importance of public participation in combating drug crimes.
"Every piece of information, no matter how small, is extremely valuable in helping us fight drug trafficking," he stated.
The two suspects are currently being held at the Labuhanbatu Selatan Police Narcotics Unit for intensive questioning. Investigators are continuing forensic analysis of the evidence and preparing case files for submission to the public prosecutor. (IDNC)
