BATAM | INDATANEWS.COM – Officers from the Batu Aji Police Sector (Polsek Batu Aji), together with the rapid response team of the Barelang Police (Polresta Barelang), swiftly responded to a public report submitted via the emergency hotline 110. The incident occurred near Planet Futsal, Bukit Tempayan Village, Batu Aji District, following an alleged attempt by a debt collection agency to repossess a vehicle. The report was filed by a resident named Edi on Sunday, May 17, 2026, and was immediately handled by police personnel.
The rapid deployment highlights the police commitment to delivering fast, responsive, and humane public services through the 24-hour toll-free emergency number 110.

Batu Aji Police Chief Deputy, AKP Bayu Rizki Subagyo, promptly instructed officers to proceed to the scene upon receiving the report. The objective was to stabilize the situation and prevent any potential disturbance to public order.
Upon arrival, officers from Pamapta 1 of Polresta Barelang, duty officers from Polsek Batu Aji, along with patrol, investigation, and intelligence units, conducted a thorough on-site assessment and gathered information from all involved parties.

Police carefully documented the incident to ensure all procedures were properly observed and in accordance with regulations.
Subsequently, officers facilitated mediation between the debt collection agency and the vehicle owner. Both parties were encouraged to resolve the matter peacefully and avoid any public disruption.

The mediation resulted in a mutual agreement. The planned vehicle repossession was cancelled by the debt collector, while the debtor committed to settling the outstanding payments by June 20, 2026. Following the agreement, the situation returned to normal and remained under control.
Polresta Barelang reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining public safety, security, and order at all times.
