BATAM | INDATANEWS.COM - Police from the Batam Kota Sector under the Barelang Police have swiftly responded to a public complaint received through the emergency hotline 110, leading to the arrest of a suspected cable thief at the Saka Kencana Kepri building in Baloi Permai, Batam Kota District. The operation took place directly at the scene, where the suspect had already been restrained by local residents. The situation remained stable and fully under control throughout the incident.
Batam Kota Police Chief AKP Benny Syahrizal immediately deployed officers in coordination with the
Barelang Police Pamapta unit after a report was filed by a resident named Yance regarding the alleged theft. Responding units included Pamapta officers led by Ipda F. Leo M, along with personnel from SPKT, patrol units, Criminal Investigation Unit, and Intelligence Unit (Intelkam).
Upon arrival, officers conducted a swift inspection of the Saka Kencana Kepri building following reports of suspected cable theft. The rapid deployment highlights the police's commitment to responding promptly to public complaints without delay.

Suspect Apprehended by Residents Before Police ArrivalAt the scene, officers found a man suspected of stealing cables. He had already been detained by local residents along with the alleged stolen items before police arrived.
