LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM – The fatal group assault that claimed the life of Wahyu Kurniawan in Aek Batu Village, Torgamba District, South Labuhanbatu Regency, has left his family in deep mourning. Amid waves of condolence visits, officers from the Torgamba Police Sector (Polsek Torgamba) came directly to the bereaved home to express sympathy and provide trauma support.
The visit on Friday, May 15, 2026, was personally led by
Torgamba Police Chief AKP Sunipan Gurusinga, accompanied by several unit heads. The presence of law enforcement highlighted a humanitarian and community-oriented approach during a time of profound grief.
He was joined by Ps. Intel Unit Chief Aiptu Jhoni, Ps. Community Guidance Unit Chief Aiptu B. Sinaga, Traffic Unit Chief Aiptu Kariyanto, and Sabhara Unit Chief Aiptu PF Tanjung.

"I hope the perpetrators are punished as severely as possible. If possible, an eye for an eye, so I can find peace," she said in a trembling voice inside the mourning house.
Her statement reflects the profound grief of a mother who lost her child to violence, as well as the family's expectation of firm legal action.
