LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM – The Traffic Unit of the Labuhanbatu Selatan Police (Satlantas Polres Labuhanbatu Selatan) installed road safety warning banners along several high-risk points on the Trans-Sumatra Road (Jalinsum) on Sunday, May 10, 2026. The initiative aims to reduce traffic accidents caused by heavy vehicle flow along this strategic transportation route.
The installation focused on two accident-prone locations: the Simaninggir area along the Kotapinang–Gunung Tua route and the road segment in front of the district head's office on the Sosopan–Gunung Tua corridor.

She also noted that the Trans-Sumatra Road under the jurisdiction of Labuhanbatu Selatan Police experiences high daily traffic volume, including private vehicles, trucks, and inter-regional transport vehicles that often travel at high speeds.

The initiative is expected to increase driver awareness, reduce speed in risk zones, and improve compliance with traffic regulations.
