LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The illegal drug trade is increasingly moving from hidden locations into residential areas, posing a growing threat to communities. Police in Labuhanbatu Selatan have taken decisive action, arresting three men suspected of being part of a methamphetamine distribution network.
The case sends a clear message: there is no safe haven for drug-related crimes in the region.

Authorities acted on reports from residents who had noticed suspicious drug-related activities, submitted through the "Dumas Presisi" public complaint service.
Head of Public Relations, AKP Sujono, emphasized the crucial role of community participation in the operation.
"After receiving the information, the team immediately conducted an investigation and moved to the location," he said.
At the scene, officers identified a man behaving suspiciously. The suspect, identified as S alias ST (32), was apprehended. A search uncovered 1.80 grams of methamphetamine in a plastic bag wrapped in tissue, along with another package weighing 24.19 grams hidden inside a blue Kawasaki helmet.

Follow-Up Investigation Leads to More ArrestsDuring initial questioning, the suspect admitted obtaining the drugs from two accomplices: N alias Lek Gaol (44) and AM alias Andi (34).

They were arrested while riding a Honda Supra motorcycle with license plate D 3215 ZTJ.
A search revealed a Pirex glass containing methamphetamine wrapped in yellow cigarette foil, hidden under the motorcycle seat. Despite the evidence, both suspects denied ownership.
Police Probe Larger Drug NetworkIn total, police confiscated evidence including two plastic bags of methamphetamine weighing a combined gross 25.99 grams, a Pirex glass, packaging materials, two motorcycles, a helmet, and two mobile phones.

AKP Sujono confirmed that investigations are ongoing to identify other individuals involved.
"We will continue developing this case to uncover a wider network. There is zero tolerance for drug crimes," he stressed.
Police also urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, especially drug-related offenses, through the police call center at 110.
