JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM - The Jambi Regional Police have once again earned national recognition for their achievements. Under the leadership of Jambi Police Chief Inspector General of Police Krisno H. Siregar, two Jambi police officers received the Kompolnas Awards 2026 in the individual "Peace" category.
The two award recipients are
Brigpol Tamarani Panjaitan, the
Bhabinkamtibmas officer responsible for Nipah Panjang I and Nipah Panjang II villages at the Nipah Panjang Police Station, Tanjung Jabung Timur Police Resort, and
Aipda Arjunif, a
Bhabinkamtibmas officer assigned to the Bathin II Babeko Police Station, Bungo Police Resort.
They received the awards during the Kompolnas Awards 2026 ceremony held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Sari Pacific Hotel in Jakarta.
The National Police Commission of Indonesia, known as Kompolnas, presented the awards in recognition of the dedication, contributions and commitment of police officers in maintaining security and peace, building strong relationships with communities, and providing police services that have a positive impact on society.
The achievements of Brigpol Tamarani Panjaitan and Aipda Arjunif further add to the record of the Jambi Regional Police in implementing community-oriented policing. Their roles as Bhabinkamtibmas officers are considered important in strengthening communication and building closer relations between the police and residents in their respective areas of responsibility.
Kompolnas Awards Become Motivation for Police Service
The Kompolnas Awards 2026 represent a form of recognition from the National Police Commission for police units and officers who demonstrate outstanding performance, innovation, integrity and commitment in carrying out their duties.
Kompolnas Chairman Djamari Chaniago said the assessment process for the
Kompolnas Awards 2026 was conducted transparently, accountably and objectively, based on verifiable evidence. The jury went through several stages of assessment, beginning with the initial evaluation, followed by the selection of nominees and five finalists, field visits and the jury's final plenary session.
Djamari explained that the Kompolnas Awards 2026 jury consisted of 13 members representing Kompolnas and various external sectors. The panel included police representatives, academics, community and religious figures, media representatives and professional advisers.
"The involvement of jury members with different perspectives is intended to enrich the assessment process, allowing the evaluation to provide a more comprehensive picture of the performance, innovations and impacts achieved by the nominees," Djamari said.
Meanwhile, Kompolnas Commissioner and Chairwoman of the Kompolnas Awards 2026 Organizing Committee, retired Police Inspector General Ida Oetari Poernamasasi, said Kompolnas also considered how police units responded to public complaints submitted to the commission.
According to Ida, the speed and quality of handling public complaints were among the criteria used in the assessment process. Kompolnas subsequently conducted verification and field visits to ensure that the data submitted during the initial assessment reflected the actual implementation of police duties in the field.

Five Indicators Used in the Assessment
Kompolnas established five key indicators, known as the "5Ps," as the basis for evaluating participants in the Kompolnas Awards 2026. They consist of People, Planet, Prosperity, Partnership and Peace.
The five indicators serve as a reference for Kompolnas in assessing performance, innovation, integrity and the impact generated through the implementation of police duties.
In the "Peace" category, Kompolnas recognizes police officers whose work contributes to creating and maintaining peace and security within communities.
The awards received by
Brigpol Tamarani Panjaitan and
Aipda Arjunif fall within this framework. Both officers serve as
Bhabinkamtibmas, a role that requires direct engagement with residents and forms an important part of police efforts to maintain security and public order, commonly known as Kamtibmas.
At the same event, the Chief of the Indonesian National Police expressed hope that the Kompolnas Awards would continue to be held annually. He said the event should not only serve as a form of recognition but also contribute to improving performance within the Indonesian National Police.
The National Police Chief said the Kompolnas Awards were beneficial to the institution because they provided a platform for identifying and recognizing police officers who demonstrate strong commitment in carrying out their duties.
"The Kompolnas Awards are held every year, and of course we hope they will continue in the future, including under future police leadership," the National Police Chief said.
He also emphasized the importance of evaluation and mutual oversight as part of continuous improvement within the police institution. Existing shortcomings, he said, must be addressed, while achievements and positive practices that have already been developed should continue to be strengthened.

Jambi Police Turn Award into Motivation
Responding to the achievement, Jambi Police Chief Inspector General of Police Krisno H. Siregar, through Jambi Regional Police Public Relations Division Head Police Commissioner Brigadier General Erlan Munaji, conveyed his appreciation to Brigpol Tamarani Panjaitan and Aipda Arjunif.
Kombes Erlan said the
Kompolnas Awards 2026 were not merely an achievement for the
Jambi Regional Police but also served as motivation to continuously improve the quality of services provided to the public.
"The Jambi Police Chief extends his appreciation to Brigpol Tamarani Panjaitan and Aipda Arjunif and congratulates them on the awards they received. This achievement is recognition of the dedication of Jambi police officers in maintaining security, promoting peace and providing services to the community," Kombes Erlan said.
He said the achievement also highlighted the important role of
Bhabinkamtibmas officers as a bridge between the police and the community. Direct interaction with residents, he added, is an essential part of efforts to establish a safe and stable public security and order situation.
"This award is certainly not only a source of pride for the officers who received it, but also motivation for all members of the Jambi Regional Police to continue working professionally, humanely, responsively and in accordance with the interests of the community," Kombes Erlan said.
Kombes Erlan emphasized that the
Jambi Regional Police would continue encouraging its officers to develop innovations, strengthen cooperation with all elements of society and improve the quality of police services.
He said the award should serve as an incentive to maintain and further improve the quality of work in the field. The Jambi Regional Police will also continue to promote an approach centered on police presence within the community.
