ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Samapta Unit of the Aceh Tengah Police has stepped up security measures in response to increased public activity through the "Perintis Presisi Kota dan Wisata" patrol. Officers targeted several busy locations to maintain public safety and order while also providing residents and visitors with a greater sense of security.
The patrol was conducted on Saturday, August 22, 2026, starting at 11:00 a.m. WIB. Five officers from the
Samapta Unit deployed on two official motorcycles and inspected several locations with high levels of public activity.
The officers visited the Lemah gas station (SPBU), the Takengon branch of Bank Aceh, Toko Emas Mulia Baru gold shop, the Dermaga Alfitrah tourist area, the SPBU on Jalan Lintang, and the Tansaril SPBU. In addition to monitoring the situation, the officers also engaged directly with residents and business operators at each patrol location.
The police presence at these locations was part of preventive measures aimed at anticipating potential disturbances to
public safety and order. At the same time, officers ensured that the activities of residents and visitors could take place in a safe and orderly environment.
Police Presence Strengthened at Patrol Locations
Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhamad Taufiq, S.I.K., M.H., through
Samapta Unit Chief IPTU Misbah, said the patrol was a preventive measure intended to anticipate potential disturbances to
public safety and order and ensure that residents could carry out their activities safely and without concern.
"The presence of officers at these locations is intended to help prevent criminal acts while also giving people a sense of security. We also urge residents and business operators to work together to increase their vigilance," he said.
According to him, the direct presence of officers at public locations was also part of the police's efforts to strengthen communication with the community. Through direct dialogue, officers can provide security advice and encourage residents to actively contribute to maintaining safety in their respective surroundings.
The "Perintis Presisi Kota dan Wisata" patrol does not focus exclusively on urban areas, but also targets locations where people gather and carry out their daily activities. This approach enables police officers to monitor conditions on the ground directly.

Key Facilities and Tourist Areas Monitored
The various patrol locations have different characteristics. Gas stations and banks, for example, are facilities with high transaction volumes and significant public mobility. Tourist areas, meanwhile, can attract large numbers of both residents and visitors.
During the operation, officers monitored security conditions while also delivering appeals to the public. They reminded residents to remain vigilant against various potential disturbances, including theft, fraud, and altercations.
Police also urged the public to pay close attention to their personal belongings while in public places. The reminder is particularly important because crowded areas can be exploited by criminals when visitors and residents are not sufficiently alert.
In addition to providing security advice, officers created opportunities for dialogue with residents and business operators. Police encouraged the public to immediately report any suspicious activity or situations that could potentially disrupt public safety.

Security Situation Remains Safe and StableBased on the results of monitoring during the patrol, all locations visited by officers from the Aceh Tengah Police Samapta Unit were deemed safe and stable. No significant disturbances to public safety and order were reported during the operation.
Officers continued monitoring each designated patrol point until the activities were completed. Their presence on the ground was also intended to provide residents carrying out their activities, as well as visitors to tourist areas, with a sense of safety and comfort.
