ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM- The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Aceh Tengah Police has solved an alleged theft case in Atu Tulu Village, Bebesen District. Officers arrested a man identified by the initials MM (27), a resident of Timang Gajah District, Bener Meriah Regency, who is suspected of being involved in the incident.
The arrest was carried out on Monday, August 3, 2026, at around 12:00 p.m. local time. The operation was conducted after the
Aceh Tengah Police Criminal Investigation Team carried out a series of investigations based on a police report received on July 23, 2026.
MM was arrested in Paya Tumpi I Village, Kebayakan District. Following the arrest, officers took the suspect to the Aceh Tengah Police Headquarters for questioning and to proceed with further legal procedures.
Police Secure Several Pieces of Evidence
As part of the case investigation, the Aceh Tengah Police Criminal Investigation Unit secured several items believed to be linked to the alleged criminal act.
The confiscated evidence includes three laptops, a Nikon camera, a mobile phone, and a 3-kilogram gas cylinder. All items are currently under police custody to support the investigation process and evidence proceedings.
Investigators are continuing in-depth examinations to determine the exact sequence of events, identify the possible involvement of other individuals, and verify the origin of the secured items.

Investigators Complete Case Documentation
Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhamad Taufiq, S.I.K., M.H., through the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) AKP Abdul Mufakhir, S.H., M.H., stated that investigators are currently gathering additional evidence and questioning several witnesses.
"Investigators are continuing to complete the evidence, question witnesses, and finalize the investigation files before they are later submitted to the Public Prosecutor (JPU)," said AKP Abdul Mufakhir.
He explained that the investigation would continue in accordance with applicable legal procedures. The police ensure that every stage of the case handling process is carried out professionally so the case can be resolved as soon as possible.
