DEMANDING TRANSPARENCY IN RSUDYA CONTRACT STAFF RECRUITMENT: The Aceh Selatan People's Alliance criticizes the alleged lack of transparency in the contract personnel recruitment process at RSUD dr. H. Yuliddin Away Tapaktuan and calls on the regional government to conduct an evaluation.

ACEH SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM - Transparency in the administration of the Regional General Hospital RSUD dr. H. Yuliddin Away Tapaktuan (RSUDYA) has once again attracted public attention. The recruitment process for contract personnel at the hospital, which is owned by the Aceh Selatan Regency Government, has reportedly been conducted without adequate public information disclosure, according to several community groups, triggering criticism.

The Aceh Selatan People's Alliance considers the contract employee selection mechanism at RSUDYA Tapaktuan to be insufficiently transparent and believes it does not fully reflect the principles of open public services. Limited publication of information regarding the recruitment stages could potentially weaken public trust in the management of the regional healthcare institution.

Coordinator of the Aceh Selatan People's Alliance, Ikhsan, expressed concern over the hospital management's approach, saying that comprehensive information regarding the recruitment process for contract personnel has not yet been made available to the public.

"This hospital was built and is operated using public funds. Therefore, the public should receive equal opportunities," Ikhsan said in an official statement on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Limited Access to Recruitment Information Criticized

Ikhsan stated that RSUDYA Tapaktuan has not provided publicly accessible information regarding available positions, applicant requirements and qualifications, the selection mechanism, or the final results of the contract employee recruitment process.

According to him, such information should be an essential part of the recruitment system at a public service institution. Transparency in recruitment data would ensure that all citizens have an equal opportunity to participate in the selection process based on their skills, qualifications, and competencies.

He assessed that a recruitment system with limited information access could create negative perceptions among the public. Such conditions could also raise concerns that the selection process was not conducted entirely based on professional standards.

Ikhsan added that a recruitment process without adequate transparency could lead to speculation that contract personnel selection was not solely based on competence, but may have opened opportunities for certain interests.

"This hospital is a public institution with a significant responsibility toward the community. Therefore, every process related to personnel management must be carried out transparently and be accountable," he said.

Alliance Urges Regent to Review Hospital Leadership

Criticism over the recruitment process has also been directed at the leadership of RSUDYA Tapaktuan Director, dr. Erizaldi, Sp.OG. The Aceh Selatan People's Alliance believes the hospital director has a responsibility to ensure that all management systems operate according to the principles of good governance.

Ikhsan said the current situation reflected weak commitment to transparency and integrity in managing a government-owned healthcare institution.

Based on these concerns, the alliance urged Aceh Selatan Regent H. Mirwan MS to immediately conduct an evaluation of the performance of the RSUDYA Tapaktuan director.

The alliance even demanded that dr. Erizaldi be removed from his position as director if he was unable to provide a clear, accountable, and transparent explanation regarding the controversy surrounding the contract personnel recruitment process.

In addition to requesting an evaluation of the hospital leadership, the alliance called on the Aceh Selatan Regency Government to temporarily suspend the entire contract personnel recruitment process at RSUDYA Tapaktuan.

Ikhsan said a temporary suspension or moratorium was necessary until the regional government and hospital management publicly disclosed all information related to the recruitment process.

The requested information includes the number of available positions, the number of applicants, assessment criteria, each stage of the selection process, and the names of successful candidates.

3x24-Hour Deadline for Clarification

The Aceh Selatan People's Alliance reaffirmed its position by giving the Aceh Selatan Regency Government and RSUDYA Tapaktuan management a deadline to provide an official response regarding the community's demands.

Ikhsan urged the relevant authorities not to ignore public concerns and to immediately present concrete measures to resolve the issue.

"We demand that the relevant parties provide an official clarification and concrete steps within 3x24 hours. If this is not carried out, we will bring the people's aspirations to the streets and organize a demonstration," Ikhsan stated.

The alliance emphasized that transparency in the recruitment process is not merely an administrative issue but also relates to public confidence in government-managed healthcare services.

Until this report was published, RSUDYA Tapaktuan Director dr. Erizaldi, Sp.OG, and Aceh Selatan Regent H. Mirwan MS had not issued any official statement regarding the controversy surrounding the contract personnel recruitment process. (IDNC)
