LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Dozens of young people from South Labuhanbatu showcased their determination to serve the nation on Thursday, March 26, 2026, as they attended the Human Resources (SDM) Department of the South Labuhanbatu Police. All shared a common dream: to pass the selection test and become part of the Indonesian National Police.

Since early morning, the venue was filled with optimism. Participants underwent the first phase of the recruitment process, including administrative checks and guidance from the Selection Committee (Pabanrim). For the candidates, this was more than a bureaucratic step—it marked the first milestone in their journey to protect, care for, and serve the community.

Early Phase Highlights Candidates' Commitment

The work of the Pabanrim Committee was a critical moment for candidates to demonstrate readiness and determination. Beyond completing paperwork, they showed mental resilience and dedication to community service.

Out of 65 online applicants, 35 met the administrative requirements, while 30 underwent further verification to ensure document completeness and accuracy. The admitted participants included: two Police Academy (Akpol) candidates, 27 general police service (PTU) candidates, three intelligence division candidates, one specialized plantation division (Bakomsus) candidate, and two Tamtama candidates.

Public Trust Reflected in High Enthusiasm

The strong interest among the youth shows that a career in law enforcement continues to attract those eager to contribute to public safety and order. South Labuhanbatu Police Chief, AKBP Aditya S.P. Sembiring Muham, through SDM Head Kompol Dodi Nainggolan, stated that the high number of applicants is a positive signal of growing public trust in the police.

"We witness the great enthusiasm and hope of applicants to serve the nation through police work. This motivates us to conduct the selection process transparently, responsibly, and humanely," emphasized Kompol Dodi Nainggolan.

He added that all selection phases are carried out under the BETAH principles (Clean, Transparent, Responsible, Human), ensuring equal opportunities for all participants based on their abilities.

Strict Selection Ensures Qualified Officers

South Labuhanbatu Police implements a rigorous and objective selection process to recruit candidates with strong academic, mental, and disciplinary qualities, as well as loyalty to the state. Candidates with incomplete documents were asked to submit them promptly to avoid delays in progressing to the next stage.

Upcoming examinations will be more competitive, including health assessments, physical fitness tests, psychological evaluations, and integrity checks. Guided by the principle "SDM Unggul Polri Presisi," the South Labuhanbatu Police is committed to recruiting the best regional talent—intelligent, strong in character, and ready to serve.

The Pabanrim event symbolizes the start of a long journey for young candidates willing to dedicate time, energy, and personal comfort to community service. With a transparent and professional selection process, the police are confident in shaping a new generation of Bhayangkara, ready to secure public safety and enforce the law at the forefront. (IDNC)
