BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM - Aceh Police Chief Inspector General of Police (Irjen Pol.) Ruddi Setiawan, S.I.K., S.H., M.H., has introduced the so-called Commander Wish, a strategic guideline that serves as a reference for policy direction and the implementation of duties by all personnel of the Aceh Regional Police (Polda Aceh) and police offices across regencies and cities.
The guideline was presented during an event held at the Presisi Building of
Polda Aceh in Banda Aceh on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
The event was attended by the Deputy Chief of Polda Aceh, the Inspector of Polda Aceh, key officials, heads of police units, and representatives from various divisions. At the same time, police personnel from Polda Aceh and affiliated police stations throughout Aceh followed the Commander Wish presentation virtually.
In his address, Irjen Pol. Ruddi Setiawan stated that the Commander Wish represents a strategic step to unify the vision of all police personnel, strengthen professionalism, and continuously improve the quality of police services for the people of Aceh.

Polda Aceh Promotes Precise, Humanistic, and Integrity-Based Policing
Irjen Ruddi Setiawan presented the vision of Polda Aceh: "To create a police institution that acts precisely, humanely, and with integrity in order to build a safe, peaceful, and dignified Aceh, while supporting an advanced Indonesia through the strengthening of national resilience."
He explained that this vision is built upon three fundamental values: Presisi, Humanity, and Integrity. These three values serve as the foundation for every police officer in carrying out their responsibilities, ranging from protecting, serving, and assisting the community to enforcing the law professionally and fairly.
According to Irjen Ruddi Setiawan, these values must be reflected in every action taken by police personnel, both while carrying out duties within the institution and when interacting directly with the public.
The Commander Wish also serves as a guideline for all units in developing a police institution that continues to gain public trust. Through this framework, all personnel are expected to better understand their responsibilities and roles in maintaining security and public order in Aceh.
Ten Commander Wish Priorities Become the Foundation of Police Tasks
To realize the vision of
Polda Aceh, Irjen Ruddi Setiawan has established ten main priorities within the Commander Wish, which will guide the duties and responsibilities of all police units in the future.
The ten priorities include developing the religious character of police personnel, ensuring professional and fair law enforcement, combating drug trafficking, strengthening tolerance and diversity, improving capabilities in handling various forms of crime, expanding partnerships with the community, enhancing public services, strengthening public communication, carrying out internal reforms, and increasing preparedness in dealing with natural disasters as well as forest and land fires.
Through these priorities, Irjen Ruddi Setiawan hopes all police personnel will be able to perform their duties optimally and provide police services that are increasingly closer to the community.
Irjen Ruddi Setiawan also emphasized the importance of police presence among the public as a concrete form of service. The presence of officers in the field can strengthen the community's sense of security, build closer relationships with residents, and further increase public confidence in the police institution.
Beyond maintaining security, police personnel must also be capable of addressing various complex disturbances to public security and order. Therefore, the
Aceh Police Chief encouraged all personnel to continuously improve their competencies and personal qualities.

Irjen Pol. Ruddi Setiawan emphasized that improving police personnel capabilities is an essential part of facing future challenges in law enforcement and public service. Every officer must continue learning, adapting to changes, and expanding their capacity to provide the best possible services to the community.
He called on all units to implement the Commander Wish as a shared commitment in their daily duties. The guideline should not merely remain a written directive, but must become a value embedded in every task and action.
"With the spirit of cooperation, integrity, and professionalism, I am confident that Polda Aceh will be increasingly capable of providing the best service to the community and realizing a precise, firm, fair, and dignified police institution," said Irjen Ruddi Setiawan.
Through the implementation of the Commander Wish,
Polda Aceh expects all units to work more cohesively in carrying out their responsibilities, strengthen public trust, and support the creation of a safe, peaceful, and dignified Aceh.
