MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM - Medan Mayor Rico Tri Putra Bayu Waas has implemented a significant bureaucratic reshuffle within the city administration, officially inaugurating 69 senior officials in a formal ceremony held at Medan City Hall. The appointment marks a strategic move aimed at strengthening public service delivery and improving administrative performance.
In his address,
Rico Waas emphasized that every position within the government carries a fundamental responsibility to serve the public. He stressed that public service must remain the highest priority above all structural or hierarchical considerations within the bureaucracy.
He noted that government leadership exists solely to support effective service delivery, with citizens serving as the ultimate benchmark for administrative success.
New Moral and Administrative DirectionRico Waas also highlighted that each appointment and rotation should be viewed as an opportunity for reflection and renewed commitment. Officials, he said, are expected to carry out their duties with clear purpose, discipline, and strong moral integrity.
He warned that unclear thinking could lead to ineffective action, while a strong focus on community needs would ensure clarity and direction in decision-making.
Key Strategic Positions FilledAmong the 69 appointed officials are several key leadership roles in public service sectors. Ahmad Barli Mulia Nasution was appointed Head of the Education and Culture Office of
Medan.
Meanwhile, Hendro Saut Manuntun Mulianto Tampubolon was assigned responsibility for public order, while Lisdiu Sinaga will oversee infrastructure development at the Medan Kota district level. These appointments are expected to enhance service efficiency and strengthen governance across the city.

Medan municipal government. The new organizational structure is expected to support a more responsive, professional, and citizen-oriented administration.
