DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - Vice Regent of Deli Serdang, Lom Lom Suwondo, officially swore in and inaugurated 23 administrative and supervisory officials within the Deli Serdang Regency Government on Thursday, June 18, 2026. The ceremony took place at the Cendana Hall on the second floor of the regent's office complex.
The appointments form part of a broader strategic organizational restructuring aimed at strengthening bureaucratic performance and improving the quality of public services for residents across the region.
Administrative Reshuffle to Strengthen GovernanceAs part of the restructuring process, several officials were rotated, promoted, and reassigned to new positions. The appointments were based on competency assessments and the organizational needs of the Deli Serdang regional administration.
Ahmad Turmuzi, formerly Head of the Pantai Labu Subdistrict, was appointed Head of the Youth and Sports Division under the Department of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Tourism. His previous position has been filled by Boby Arianto, who previously served as Camat of Bangun Purba.
Rahmat Sejati was assigned as Head of the Aquaculture Division at the Deli Serdang Fisheries Office. Meanwhile, Sufrandana, formerly Secretary of the Sibolangit Subdistrict, was appointed as the new Head of Kenangan Urban Village in Percut Sei Tuan District. Ade Irmawati Nasution also received a new assignment as Head of Administration at the Technical Division of the Agricultural Extension Agency.

Lom Lom Suwondo stressed that rotations, promotions, and transfers are a normal part of organizational development, serving both career progression and institutional needs.

He further highlighted the strategic role of administrative and supervisory officials as key links between policy formulation and practical implementation.
Focus on Public Service ExcellenceThe Vice Regent also underlined the importance of integrity and political neutrality among civil servants, warning that official positions must never be misused for political interests.
According to Suwondo, camats and lurahs serve as the frontline of
public administration and must act quickly, responsively, and in a citizen-oriented manner while maintaining fairness and stability in democratic processes.
He concluded by urging all newly appointed officials to carry out their duties with full responsibility and actively contribute to realizing a progressive, prosperous, and sustainable Deli Serdang. (IDNC)
