DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM – The Government of Deli Serdang Regency is strengthening cooperation with vertical government institutions through the development of an integrated administrative and office complex in the region. The initiative was highlighted by Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan during the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Jalan Tirta Deli on Thursday, June 4, 2026. The event was also attended by Saripuddin Daulay, Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Deli Serdang.
Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan emphasized that the construction of the new Ministry of Religious Affairs office will play a significant role in improving public services for residents.
"We hope this office development will further enhance the quality of public services provided by the Ministry of Religious Affairs to the entire community in Deli Serdang Regency," he said.
He also noted that the regional government is targeting completion within 150 calendar days, allowing the facility to be utilized promptly while contributing to a more modern and orderly regional appearance.

Integrated Administrative Area Concept
The Regent underlined that the development of a centralized government area is part of Deli Serdang's long-term development strategy. The goal is to bring all vertical government agencies into a single integrated zone to improve coordination and efficiency.
"We would be proud if all vertical agencies were located within one integrated administrative area. This would significantly ease coordination as everything would be fully connected," he stated.
He added that this concept is expected not only to improve governance efficiency but also to serve as a model for modern and well-structured regional development.

Economic Impact and Local Workforce
The regional government also ensures that the construction project delivers direct economic benefits to the local community by prioritizing local workers, particularly from socio-economic deciles 1 to 3.
Both the government and contractors are committed to maximizing the involvement of local labor, aiming to strengthen infrastructure development while increasing employment opportunities and community welfare.
Furthermore, Asri Ludin revealed that the integrated administrative area is planned for further expansion, including the potential relocation of additional institutions such as the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and a military command post (Koramil) under Kodim 0204/Deli Serdang.
"We hope Deli Serdang will become a center where all government offices are integrated in one area, serving as a model for other regions," he concluded. (IDNC)
