BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM Aceh Provincial Secretary M. Nasir led the solemn commemoration of the 2026 Birth of Pancasila Day ceremony on Monday, June 1, 2026, held at the Governor's Office compound in Banda Aceh. The event took place in a dignified atmosphere, attended by members of the Aceh Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), heads of regional working units (SKPA), officials from various government agencies, and the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) Kodam Iskandar Muda marching band.

During the ceremony, M. Nasir read the official address delivered by the Head of the Indonesian Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP). The speech emphasized that Pancasila Day is not merely an annual ceremonial occasion, but a moment of reflection on the enduring relevance of Indonesia's state philosophy in national life.

This year's theme, "Pancasila as the Unifying Force of the Nation, the Foundation of Global Peace," highlights the essential role of Pancasila values in preserving Indonesia's national unity while also contributing to broader global harmony.

Moral Compass Amid Global Challenges

In the address, Pancasila was described as a "guiding star" that keeps Indonesia steady amid complex global challenges. The values embedded within Pancasila are seen as essential in uniting Indonesia's vast diversity, spanning more than 17,000 islands and hundreds of ethnic groups, under a strong national identity.

"Pancasila is our moral anchor in facing global turbulence, from technological disruption to geopolitical dynamics," the speech stated as read by M. Nasir.

It was further emphasized that Indonesia carries a constitutional responsibility to contribute to a world order based on independence, lasting peace, and social justice as outlined in the 1945 Constitution.

The ceremony concluded with a strong appeal to the younger generation to embrace Pancasila as a living ideology and apply its principles in everyday life.

"Let us show the world that Indonesia is a great nation that upholds religiosity, unity, and humanity equally," M. Nasir conveyed while reading the BPIP message.
