LUBUK PAKAM | INDATANEWS.COM - The Regent of Deli Serdang, Asri Ludin Tambunan, officially appointed 53 administrative, supervisory, and functional officials, including heads of community health centers (Puskesmas), within the Deli Serdang Regency Government. The inauguration ceremony was held on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the Cendana Hall on the second floor of the Regent's Office in Lubuk Pakam.
The appointments are part of a broader strategy to accelerate bureaucratic reform and improve the quality of
public services across key sectors in the region.
Public Office as a State Responsibility

Asri Ludin Tambunan emphasized that holding public office is not merely an administrative position, but a significant responsibility in serving the state and the people.
"The position you assume today is not just a formal appointment or rotation, but a state mandate to support the vision of the President, the Governor, and the development goals of the Regent and Deputy Regent," he said.
He further noted that the
Deli Serdang government continuously promotes organizational dynamics through rotations and appointments to ensure a faster, more flexible, and citizen-oriented bureaucracy. All placements, he added, are based on organizational needs and recommendations from respective leadership units.
OFFICE AS RESPONSIBILITY: The Regent of Deli Serdang, Asri Ludin Tambunan, emphasizes that public office is a responsibility subject to a six-month performance evaluation.

The Regent announced that all appointed officials will be evaluated regularly and objectively based on their actual performance in the field.
"Within six months, an evaluation will be conducted. Those who fail to meet targets will be transferred or even demoted," he stressed.

SERVICE IMPROVEMENT: The Regent instructs officials at the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency to accelerate licensing services and eliminate illegal fees.

"Make Dinas Cipta Karya one of the best-performing agencies in Deli Serdang," he said.
He also instructed the newly appointed heads of
health centers to strengthen basic healthcare services, including free health screenings, tuberculosis control, and stunting reduction programs.
Additionally, he emphasized the importance of citizen-friendly services across education, population administration, and taxation sectors.
