DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM – The Deputy Regent of Deli Serdang, Lom Lom Suwondo SS, delivered the Regent's official response during a plenary session of the Deli Serdang Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) on Monday, May 25, 2026. The statement addressed the general views expressed by parliamentary factions on eight proposed Regional Regulations (Ranperda).
The presentation took place during a formal DPRD plenary meeting. On behalf of the regional government, the Deputy Regent also expressed appreciation to all factions for their input, criticism, and constructive suggestions regarding the draft regulations currently under deliberation.

"From the perspective of the Deli Serdang Regency Government, the views of the factions are not merely administrative records, but a reflection of shared concern, oversight, and commitment to building a healthy, intelligent, prosperous, religious, and sustainable Deli Serdang," the statement read.

Responding to the Gerindra faction, the government outlined strategic measures in managing regional assets, including administrative control, physical safeguarding, and legal protection of government property.
The administration also aims to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability in regional asset management through an integrated governance system.
On regional tax and levy adjustments, the government stressed that tariff changes will be implemented gradually while considering the public's financial capacity.

Infrastructure, Water Supply, and Education Support
Regarding capital participation in the regional water utility company Perumda Tirta Deli, the government stated that key performance indicators include service coverage, distribution continuity, and water quality.
The investments are expected to strengthen and expand drinking water infrastructure across various districts in Deli Serdang.

Spatial Planning and Administrative Reform Agenda
Read Also: SAR Team Recovers Missing Girl in Kabero River, Child Found Dead In the revision of the 2021–2041 Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW), the government highlighted the importance of controlling land-use changes, particularly to protect sustainable agricultural land and forest areas.
The policy is designed to ensure long-term ecological sustainability in the region.
Regarding the planned administrative division of Percut Sei Tuan and Sunggal sub-districts, the government described the initiative as a development priority.
Implementation will be gradual, including the provision of infrastructure and public service centers. Large-scale recruitment is not expected, as existing administrative personnel will be redistributed proportionally.

The regional government also expressed appreciation to other factions, including Golkar, NasDem, PKS, Demokrat, Persatuan Pembangunan Bintang Indonesia, and PAN-Hanura, for their constructive contributions.
Officials reaffirmed their openness to continued dialogue and further discussion of all proposed regulations.
"We are ready to provide further clarification in upcoming meetings. There is no intention to close ourselves off; instead, we aim to build better and more productive communication," the statement concluded. (IDNC)
