BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM – The Government of Aceh has called on BPJS Kesehatan to immediately restore access to the Jaminan Kesehatan Aceh (JKA) program, following the temporary suspension of participant access after the issuance of Governor Regulation No. 2/2026.
The request was formally conveyed by Governor
Muzakir Manaf, also known as "Mualem," in an official letter addressed to the Deputy Director of
BPJS Kesehatan Regional Office I in Medan.

Aceh that the province is urging
BPJS Kesehatan to act swiftly to prevent disruptions in public healthcare services.
"We hope BPJS can implement this quickly so that healthcare services for the people of Aceh are not affected," Nurlis said. "Even after Governor Mualem revoked the regulation, JKA access remains blocked."
He emphasized that uninterrupted access to healthcare services remains a top priority for the provincial government.

According to Nurlis, Governor
Muzakir Manaf's letter numbered 400.7.3.6/5806 dated May 19, 2026, explicitly requests the reactivation of all previously deactivated JKA memberships.
The policy change follows the revocation of Governor Regulation No. 2/2026, which had previously triggered the suspension of access for participants.

BPJS Kesehatan to reopen full access to healthcare services for JKA participants across
Aceh," he explained.
He added that there is no longer any administrative reason for continued suspension of JKA access, and the directive also provides assurance for hospitals linked to the program.
Ensuring Healthcare Stability During Policy TransitionNurlis further noted that the instruction is intended to prevent any disruption in healthcare delivery during the transitional period while a new replacement regulation is being drafted.

The Aceh Government reiterated its commitment to maintaining stability in public health services throughout the transition phase. (IDNC)
