MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM – The Provincial Government of North Sumatra and PT An-Nisa Utama have strengthened their collaboration to develop a modern, high-quality healthcare system for the public. The partnership focuses on improving medical human resources and transforming hospital services across the region.
A high-level meeting between Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution and PT An-Nisa Utama Director Muhammad Arif Nasution was held at the governor's office in Medan. The meeting was attended by representatives of hospitals, regional state-owned enterprises (BUMDs), and local government officials.
The governor reiterated that healthcare remains one of the top priorities of the provincial administration, particularly through the implementation of Universal Health Coverage (UHC), which aims to ensure free access to medical services for all citizens.

International Hospital Standards Expansion

In response, the provincial government is accelerating the development of international-standard hospitals, including facilities serving BPJS Kesehatan patients.
The initiative involves multiple stakeholders, including PT Dirga Surya, PT Pembangunan Prasarana Sumatera Utara (PPSU), RS Haji Medan, RS An-Nisa, and PT Bank Sumut.

healthcare system.
He emphasized that the partnership is not a form of hospital takeover, but rather a collaborative model designed to speed up transformation through operational synergy.

RS An-Nisa has grown significantly since its establishment in 1990—from a small maternity clinic with 12 staff members to a modern hospital serving BPJS patients since 2016.
The hospital also actively conducts training and capacity-building programs for healthcare workers across Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua.
RS An-Nisa reaffirmed its commitment to supporting healthcare improvements in
North Sumatra through strategic collaboration with the provincial government.
