BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Government of Aceh has commended students for conducting orderly and peaceful demonstrations regarding Governor Regulation No. 2 of 2026 on the Aceh Health Insurance (Jaminan Kesehatan Aceh/JKA). Government spokesperson Dr. Nurlis Effendi described the protest as exemplary and respectful of public order.

Muzakir Manaf, also known as Mualem, has instructed all regional agencies to actively receive input from all elements of society, including students. These contributions will serve as part of the evaluation process of the
JKA regulation.
"He has also received feedback from religious scholars. We have been instructed to accommodate all public aspirations, including those from students," he said.
According to the government, all proposals that serve the public interest will be carefully considered and incorporated into policy discussions.
"The Governor has emphasized that all ideas and suggestions aimed at improving the welfare of the people of Aceh will be used as a basis for government decision-making," Nurlis added.

These inputs are currently being integrated into the ongoing evaluation process.
"Letters from the DPRA and intensive discussions are also part of the analysis of the JKA policy review," Nurlis noted.
He further highlighted the important role of students in monitoring public policy, stating that student criticism serves as a vital form of social control.

Provincial Secretariat Reviews Health Services in the Field
In parallel with public consultations,
Aceh Provincial Secretary M. Nasir Syamaun has conducted direct visits to several public hospitals across different districts. The visits aim to identify existing challenges and formulate solutions to improve healthcare services.
"The Provincial Secretary seeks to ensure that all existing issues are properly identified and that solutions can be developed to enhance healthcare services for the people of Aceh," Nurlis explained. (IDNC)
