Munawar highlighted that Aceh's progress is the result of strong collaboration between the government, institutions, and the public. According to him, active civic participation remains a key pillar in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and law-based democratic environment.

"Alhamdulillah, this result shows that democracy in Aceh continues to improve. Public participation, government openness, and cross-sector cooperation are key factors," he stated.

Strong Performance Across Key Indicators

The Indonesia Democracy Index evaluates three main dimensions: civil liberties, equality, and institutional performance. In 2025, Aceh recorded strong results across all categories, with 86.96 points in civil liberties, 80.87 points in equality, and 83.02 points in institutional capacity.

Political Momentum Under Mualem–Dek Fadh Leadership

Munawar described the improvement as a positive momentum for the Aceh administration under the leadership of Mualem–Dek Fadh. Strengthening public services, improving transparency, and enhancing civic political education are expected to remain key priorities moving forward.

"There are still areas that need improvement. However, this achievement brings positive energy for Aceh to further develop a high-quality democracy that directly benefits the people," Munawar concluded. (IDNC)
