ACEH BESAR | INDATANEWS.COM – The Regional Executive Board of the Indonesian Online Journalists Association (IWO) Aceh Besar held its Regional Working Meeting (Rakerda) for the 2025–2030 period at the Barika Coffee Meeting Room in Lambaro, Aceh Besar, on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
The meeting marked an important moment for organizational consolidation and the formulation of strategic programs that will guide the association over the next five years.
Among those attending the event were IWO Aceh Honorary Council Chair Sri Rahayu, Ethics Council Chair Putut Rananggono, IWO Aceh Regional Chair Chairan Manggeng, Regional Secretary Safri, Regional Treasurer Misriani, Deputy Treasurer Bima, IWO Aceh Besar Chair Pritha Riska Dewi, and all members of IWO Aceh Besar.
Strengthening Organizational SolidarityIWO Aceh Besar Chair Pritha Riska Dewi said the working meeting served as a collaborative forum for members to exchange ideas and strengthen solidarity within the organization.
"We want to collectively develop solutions and new ideas for the future of IWO. Through this Rakerda, we also hope to make the best decisions for the progress of our organization," Pritha said.
She explained that the forum was an important step in improving internal coordination and designing work programs that align with the rapid development of digital journalism.

Rakerda Becomes Foundation for Future ProgramsMeanwhile, IWO Aceh Regional Chair Chairan Manggeng emphasized that the Rakerda serves as the primary foundation for building a professional and well-structured organization.
"This Rakerda is the foundation of the organization. It is where future work programs, budget plans, and strategic directions are determined," Chairan stated.
He also highlighted the importance of strong coordination between regional and provincial leadership in making organizational decisions. According to him, internal unity is key to strengthening the organization's presence amid the fast-changing digital media landscape.
"Whatever the outcome of this Rakerda, the Aceh Besar Regional Board must continue to maintain strong coordination with the provincial leadership. The most important thing is unity and our ability to advance the organization together," he added.
Chairan also conveyed greetings from the Secretary General of the IWO Central Executive Board to all participants. He expressed hope that the meeting would produce constructive outcomes for the future of IWO Aceh Besar.
Focus on Digital Media ChallengesThrough the Rakerda, IWO Aceh Besar aims to formulate strategic work programs capable of adapting to the challenges of modern journalism and the rapid growth of digital media.
The meeting also marked the official beginning of the organization's 2025–2030 leadership period, during which
IWO Aceh Besar plans to implement a more structured agenda that aligns with current media industry demands while strengthening its role as a professional and credible journalists' organization in Aceh.
