LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Government of Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency has marked a strong commitment to education development as Regent Fery Sahputra Simatupang officially attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of SMP IT Boarding School Al Washliyah in Aek Goti Village, Silangkitang District, on Monday (May 27, 2026).
The ceremony represents not only the start of a construction project but also a long-term investment in shaping a younger generation that is intelligent, disciplined, and grounded in Islamic values.

Fery Sahputra Simatupang emphasized that the construction of
SMP IT Al Washliyah is a strategic milestone in improving the quality of education in
Labuhanbatu Selatan. According to him, the project is not merely about physical infrastructure, but about building a strong foundation for sustainable human resource development.
"This moment is a major step toward improving education quality, especially in strengthening Islamic values. It is not just about building a facility, but a long-term investment in producing an intelligent and morally strong generation," he said.

Silangkitang and Torgamba. The Regent called on the newly appointed officials to strengthen dedication, solidarity, and social responsibility.
He urged the organization to remain active in social, religious, and educational programs that bring tangible benefits to the community.
The event was attended by Deputy Regent Syahdian Purba Siboro, Chairman of PW Al Washliyah North Sumatra Dedi Iskandar, as well as local officials and community members.
Fery Sahputra Simatupang also encouraged public support for the school project, stressing the importance of collaboration in building a more advanced, religious, and prosperous Labuhanbatu Selatan.
