BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Aceh Regional Secretary, M. Nasir, officially opened the public consultation forum for the initial draft of the Aceh Government Work Plan (RKPA) 2027 at Grand Nanggroe Hotel on Wednesday (April 8, 2026).
In his opening remarks, Nasir emphasized that the forum marks a crucial phase in the regional development planning process. He stressed that the event goes beyond a formal procedure, serving as a strategic platform to align public needs with government policy directions.
"This forum aims to synchronize regional development priorities with national policy frameworks to ensure strong synergy between central and regional governments," Nasir stated.
Aligning Policy with Public ParticipationNasir explained that the forum provides space for stakeholders to contribute constructive input. These contributions are essential to prevent overlapping programs, unclear targets, and poorly defined performance indicators.

He added that the RKPA 2027 serves as a bridge between the regional medium-term development plan and the national government work plan.
"Consistency and alignment in planning are key to ensuring the effective implementation of development programs on the ground," he noted.
Focus on Disaster Recovery and Strategic PrioritiesFor 2027, the Aceh Government has set a key theme: accelerating post-disaster recovery through resilient and sustainable development.
This vision is translated into ten main priorities, including strengthening Islamic Sharia implementation,
poverty reduction, job creation, digital transformation, and improving the quality of human resources and the environment.

Economic Challenges and Development Targets
Nasir also highlighted several macroeconomic indicators that remain challenging. Aceh's cumulative economic growth reached 2.97 percent in 2025, impacted by natural disasters in the previous year. The government is targeting an increase to 6.6 percent by 2029.
The poverty rate stood at 12.22 percent in September 2025 and is expected to decline to between 6.39 and 7.39 percent by 2029. Achieving this target will require focused efforts, including strengthened social protection programs and economic empowerment initiatives.
He also warned about the importance of maintaining economic stability amid an annual inflation rate of 5.31 percent as of March 2026. Strengthening the local economy—particularly through cooperatives and strategic programs—will be critical to improving public welfare.
As a disaster-prone region, Aceh must integrate development planning with disaster management frameworks, including rehabilitation and reconstruction plans.
"Future development must be risk-aware and adaptive—not only to drive growth but also to protect communities and regional assets," Nasir concluded, urging all participants to actively contribute to shaping effective and targeted policies.
