BATUBARA | INDATANEWS.COM - Batubara Regent Dr. H. Baharuddin Siagian, S.H., M.Si., C.L.A., on Saturday, September 12, 2026, received representatives of the Satuan Komunitas Pramuka Al Washliyah (Sako Pramuka Al Washliyah) of North Sumatra at his office for a discussion. The meeting took place in a warm and cordial atmosphere.
The discussion focused on preparations for the provincial-level joint scout camp of Sako Pramuka
Al Washliyah in North Sumatra, known as Kemsama. The event is scheduled to take place from October 22 to 25, 2026, at
Sujono Beach in Batubara Regency.
Regional Government Pledges Support
In addition to discussing preparations for the event, the meeting also served to strengthen the organization and promote the active role of Sako Pramuka
Al Washliyah in shaping the character of the younger generation in North Sumatra, particularly in Batubara Regency.
The delegation from the North Sumatra Sako Pramuka Al Washliyah board was led by the Chairman of the North Sumatra Provincial Al Washliyah Board, Dr. H. Dedi Iskandar Batubara, S.Sos., S.H., M.Sp., M.H., accompanied by other board members. Also present were the Chairman of Sako Pramuka Al Washliyah North Sumatra, AKBP (Ret.) H. Zainal Abidin, S.H., M.H., Secretary Budi Santoso, S.E., Treasurer Mariam Sahar, S.Ag., and other board members.
On the occasion,
Batubara Regent Baharuddin Siagian warmly welcomed the representatives of Sako Pramuka
Al Washliyah North Sumatra. He described the Kemsama as an important step in strengthening the organization, as well as an opportunity to align shared perspectives and develop joint initiatives to support the younger generation.
According to Baharuddin, scouting activities are not limited to organizational matters. They also play a strategic role in developing a younger generation with strong character, high moral integrity and a deep sense of responsibility toward society.

Al Washliyah in North Sumatra. I hope the event will run smoothly, orderly and safely, and produce decisions that strengthen the organization while fostering a generation with strong character, noble morals and a positive contribution to society. The role of Sako Pramuka
Al Washliyah in developing young people is highly significant. I hope cooperation with the regional government will continue to be maintained closely to advance character building in Batubara and North Sumatra," Baharuddin Siagian said.
The support also reflects the Batubara Regency Government's commitment to advancing programs focused on character building and youth development.
Baharuddin Siagian expressed hope that cooperation between the regional government and youth and scouting organizations would continue to expand. In his view, such synergy is important to provide the younger generation in Batubara Regency and North Sumatra with positive opportunities for development and education.

Kemsama as a Forum for Consolidation
Chairman of Sako Pramuka Al Washliyah North Sumatra AKBP (Ret.) H. Zainal Abidin expressed his appreciation for the reception and support provided by the Batubara Regent and the regional government.
Zainal said the visit was intended to present an update on preparations and consult with the regional government regarding the implementation of the 2026 provincial-level Kemsama of Sako Pramuka
Al Washliyah in North Sumatra.
"We are here to report on the progress of preparations and discuss the 2026 provincial-level Kemsama of Sako Pramuka Al Washliyah in North Sumatra. This event will bring together members of the Scout Movement at the Penggalang and Penegak levels. At the same time, a camp will be held for Mabi members of Sako Pramuka Al Washliyah from across North Sumatra. The event is important for aligning our shared vision, developing work programs and strengthening solidarity across all levels of our organization. We want to ensure that the event runs smoothly, safely and orderly, with the full support of the Batubara Regency Government," Zainal Abidin said.
The event at
Sujono Beach will bring together members of the Scout Movement at the Penggalang and Penegak levels. In addition to the joint camp, the program will also include a camp for Mabi members of Sako Pramuka
Al Washliyah from across North Sumatra.
According to Zainal, Kemsama can become an important moment for organizational consolidation, the development of work programs and the strengthening of solidarity among board members and members of Sako Pramuka Al Washliyah from various regions.
Holding the event in Batubara Regency is also expected to help showcase the region's potential and provide participants from various parts of North Sumatra with positive experiences.

Fostering a Generation with Strong Character
Chairman of the North Sumatra Provincial Al Washliyah Board Dr. H. Dedi Iskandar Batubara emphasized that Kemsama is more than simply a scout camp. In his view, the event carries an important mission of developing a younger generation with faith, character, moral values and a strong sense of nationalism.
"The provincial-level Kemsama of Sako Pramuka
Al Washliyah in North Sumatra also aims to foster a younger generation that is faithful, strong in character, morally grounded and patriotic by combining the values of the Scout Movement with the teachings of
Al Washliyah. We want to produce cadres who are ready to serve society and the region. We hope the synergy established with the Batubara Government will continue to be maintained closely to advance the Scout Movement and character building among the younger generation in North Sumatra," Dedi Iskandar Batubara said.
Dedi explained that combining scouting values with the values of Al Washliyah could serve as an approach to developing young cadres who possess not only organizational skills, but also a strong moral foundation and a deep spirit of service.
He expressed hope that the regional government's support for the event would further strengthen relations between Sako Pramuka
Al Washliyah and the Batubara Regency Government. The synergy is also expected to continue through various programs aimed at supporting and developing the younger generation.
The delegation from the Sako Pramuka Al Washliyah North Sumatra board subsequently expressed its gratitude to the Batubara Regency Government for its support and warm reception.
Meanwhile, the
Batubara Regent also welcomed the planned Kemsama at
Sujono Beach. He expressed hope that all programs would be carried out smoothly, orderly and safely and would result in decisions that contribute to strengthening the organization and developing the Scout Movement in the region.
