BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM - Aceh Deputy Governor Fadhlullah, SE, also known as Dek Fadh, has received the SMSI Aceh Award 2026 in the category of "Personality for Strengthening the Sharia Economy in Aceh." The award was presented by the Indonesian Cyber Media Association (Serikat Media Siber Indonesia, SMSI) Aceh during the awards ceremony on Saturday evening, September 5, 2026, at Anjong Mon Mata in the Aceh Governor's Office complex.
The award recognizes
Fadhlullah's commitment to strengthening the Sharia economy in Aceh. However,
Fadhlullah was unable to attend the ceremony in person due to another engagement.
Aceh Provincial Government Secretary's Government Assistant Drs. Syakir, M.Si., accepted the award on behalf of the Deputy Governor and also read Fadhlullah's remarks before the invited guests.
Turning the Sharia Economy into a Real Economic Force
In his remarks, Fadhlullah expressed his appreciation to SMSI Aceh for presenting the award. He also thanked media professionals for their continued contribution to Aceh's development through news coverage and the dissemination of information to the public.
Fadhlullah emphasized that efforts to strengthen the Sharia economy must not remain at the conceptual level. The government and all relevant stakeholders must work together to ensure that the Sharia economy becomes a real economic force with a direct impact on people's lives.
According to Fadhlullah, the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) is an important component in strengthening the foundation of Aceh's Sharia economy. In addition to supporting MSMEs, the government must promote the growth of the halal industry, strengthen the Islamic financial sector, create jobs and provide young people with greater opportunities to participate in economic activities.
Fadhlullah said these efforts require collaboration among various sectors of society. The government cannot build a strong and sustainable Sharia economic ecosystem on its own.
Such cooperation must involve ulema, businesses, banks, universities, the public and the media. Through this collaboration, an economic ecosystem can be established that not only complies with Sharia principles but also contributes to improving the welfare of the people of Aceh.
Strengthening the Sharia economy could also provide greater opportunities for young people. With support from educational institutions, businesses, financial institutions and the government, young people in Aceh can develop various innovations and business models based on local potential.
Fadhlullah expressed hope that this spirit would continue to grow, enabling the Sharia economy to make a greater contribution to economic growth and improving the welfare of the people of Aceh.

Media Play a Strategic Role
In addition to the Sharia economy,
Fadhlullah also highlighted the role of the media in supporting regional development. In his view, the media occupy a strategic position as government partners and as a bridge for communication between the government and the public.
Through their reporting, the media help introduce Aceh's diverse potential to a wider audience. Information about regional potential, investment opportunities, economic sectors, tourism and various development programs can reach a broader public through the media.
Fadhlullah also stressed the importance of the media in monitoring and overseeing government policies. Critical, balanced and constructive reporting can serve as part of public oversight of the implementation of development programs.
At the same time, the media perform an important function in conveying information and communicating the concerns of the public. When these responsibilities are carried out professionally, media practitioners can help the government better understand various issues and developments within society.
For this reason,
Fadhlullah expressed his appreciation for the contribution of media professionals to Aceh's development. He hoped that relations and cooperation between the government and the media would continue to be strengthened to provide useful information while supporting the region's progress.
