Muzakir Manaf has once again called on all
Aceh Government agencies to strengthen and further develop the "
Satu Data Aceh" program. The program is designed to provide accurate, up-to-date, and
integrated data that is easily accessible and can serve as a central reference for policymaking and
public services.
Muzakir Manaf considers strengthening "Satu Data Aceh" an important part of modernizing digital public services. The Aceh Government needs an integrated data system that is continuously updated and capable of providing information quickly and consistently.
"This is one of the programs that must be implemented as a form of modernizing
public services on a digital basis. We need
integrated data that is regularly updated and can be provided quickly and consistently," Mualem said through
Aceh Government spokesman Nurlis Effendi on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, in Banda Aceh.
A Key Part of Aceh's Development
Nurlis said
Muzakir Manaf attaches great importance to the development of the "
Satu Data Aceh" program because it is a fundamental component of the vision and mission of Aceh's 2025–2030 development agenda.
According to Nurlis, the Aceh Government also views the "Satu Data Aceh" program as a concrete implementation of Presidential Regulation No. 39 of 2019 on "Satu Data Indonesia." The Aceh Government subsequently translated the regulation into regional policy through Aceh Governor Regulation No. 39 of 2023.
On this basis,
Muzakir Manaf instructed
Aceh Government Secretary M. Nasir Syamaun to continue overseeing the development of the "
Satu Data Aceh" program. The governor reiterated the importance of the agenda at the "
Satu Data Aceh Forum," held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at The Pade Hotel in Darul Imarah, Aceh Besar.
The Aceh Government organized the "Satu Data Aceh Forum" through the Aceh Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda Aceh) in collaboration with the Australia Indonesia Partnership – Sinergi dan Kolaborasi untuk Akselerasi Layanan Dasar (AIP-SKALA).
The forum brought together government agencies directly involved in collecting, managing, and utilizing data. The participation of various regional agencies was intended to strengthen coordination while building a shared understanding of data standards and data requirements in Aceh.

Strengthening Data Quality for Development Planning
Aceh Government Secretary M. Nasir Syamaun stressed that the Aceh Government must ensure that the data used by individual agencies maintains consistent quality, remains up to date, and is easily accessible and available whenever needed.
"The goal is to strengthen governance and data quality in order to support evidence-based development planning that responds to the needs of the people and is aligned with regional and national development priorities," Nasir said.
In his remarks, which were delivered by Aceh Government Secretariat Assistant for Economic and Development Affairs Teuku Robby Izra, Nasir said accurate, up-to-date, integrated, and traceable data is an important foundation for the government in implementing its development agenda.
He assessed that the challenges facing "
Satu Data Aceh" are no longer limited to simply providing data. The government must ensure that all stakeholders have access to the same accurate and up-to-date data, that the information is easily accessible, and that it is available when required.
"We continue to face various challenges: multiple data sources and data owners, different applications and information systems that are not yet fully integrated, data that is not regularly updated, and data requirements that cannot always be provided quickly and consistently," Nasir said.
Nasir also reported that problems arising from different or mismatched data had already emerged during the implementation of various central government programs in Aceh. This occurred when ministries or government agencies presented data or information on program outcomes that subsequently raised questions at the regional level because the
Aceh Government had not yet fully identified or synchronized the relevant data.
"This situation shows that data problems are not merely technical or administrative matters. Data can influence planning, budgeting, decision-making, program evaluation, and even public communication," he said.

Building an Integrated Data Ecosystem
Nasir stressed that the
Aceh Government needs to change its approach to "
Satu Data Aceh," moving away from merely building systems toward creating an
integrated data ecosystem. In his view, introducing more applications will not resolve existing problems if each application continues to store data separately.
Therefore, the government must clearly determine who owns each set of data, who is responsible for collecting and updating it, which standards and definitions are used, when updates are carried out, how access to the data is regulated, and who is responsible for its quality.
"We do not always need more applications if the data continues to be stored separately and remains disconnected. What we need is clarity about who owns the data, who collects and updates it, which standards and definitions apply, when the data is updated, how the data can be accessed, and who is responsible for its quality," he said.
Nasir called for the "Satu Data Aceh Forum" to be used as a platform to address these various issues. The Aceh Government should use the forum to strengthen coordination among agencies, align data standards and definitions, and integrate the various available data sources.
"We must strengthen coordination among institutions, align data standards and definitions, integrate various data sources, and ensure that data requirements can be met quickly, accurately, and sustainably," he said.
The "Satu Data Aceh Forum" was attended by 31 regional government agencies (SKPA) belonging to the Aceh Government's data producer group in the areas of governance and human development. In addition, 14 SKPA from the data producer group for the economy and natural resources sector and 10 SKPA from the infrastructure and regional development sector also participated.
The "
Satu Data Aceh" secretariat team and representatives from all regencies and cities in Aceh also attended the forum. The participation of various stakeholders underscores the need to develop data governance across sectors and administrative areas.
Muzakir Manaf stressed that it is not enough for the government simply to collect large amounts of data. It must ensure that the data can be easily found, is available when needed, has a clear source, and can serve as a reliable basis for decision-making.
"We may have a great deal of data, but what matters is that the data can be easily found and is available when it is needed. Likewise, having many applications will not provide maximum benefits if the data they contain is not integrated. We must not become overwhelmed by an abundance of figures when decisions require a clear, accurate, and reliable data reference," Nasir said.
By strengthening the "Satu Data Aceh" program, the Aceh Government aims to improve the quality of information available to support development planning. Data integration is also expected to help formulate more targeted policies, improve the quality of public services, and strengthen the alignment of Aceh's development programs with national policy priorities.
