DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Deli Serdang Regency Government is encouraging community-driven activities involving various stakeholders to be further developed at the village level. The Children's Jamboree for TK/RA schools across Bandar Khalipah Village is considered an event that could serve as a model for other villages throughout Deli Serdang Regency.

Around 1,000 children from early childhood education (PAUD) institutions took part in the jamboree. A total of 24 contingents representing 30 TK/RA schools in Bandar Khalipah Village participated in the lively event.
The event opened with a cultural and creative parade through the venue. The children appeared in a variety of traditional costumes and imaginative outfits, creating a festive atmosphere. At the same time, the parade gave them an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity and confidence in front of the public.
This year marked the third edition of the Children's Jamboree for TK/RA schools across Bandar Khalipah Village. The Bandar Khalipah Village Government and the community have continued to develop the event since it was first launched in a simple format three years ago.
Collaboration as the Village's Strength
Deli Serdang Regent Dr. H. Asri Ludin Tambunan, who attended the event together with the Chairwoman of the Deli Serdang TP PKK, Jelita Asri Ludin Tambunan, praised the Bandar Khalipah Village Government for its consistent efforts to develop the jamboree.
According to Asri Ludin, the
Bandar Khalipah Village Government does not rely solely on village fund allocations to organize the event. Instead, it has built partnerships with various parties, including sponsors, enabling the event to be held and developed from year to year.
"I want this event to become an example for other villages. If similar events are held in all 21 districts in the future, this concept should be adopted. Even though village funds are available, the organizers continue to work with sponsors," he said.
He stressed that this spirit of collaboration is one of the key factors in ensuring that community-driven activities can be sustained. In his view, villages have significant potential to develop various activities according to the needs and aspirations of their communities.
The regent further explained that the Children's Jamboree was not merely about competitions or entertainment programs. It also provides children with space to express their creativity, build social connections, develop confidence and nurture their abilities from an early age.
For this reason, the regent hopes that the collaboration model implemented by
Bandar Khalipah can inspire other villages across the 21 districts of
Deli Serdang Regency.

Regent Supports Children's Development
On the occasion, the Deli Serdang regent also commended all participants in the jamboree. He announced support for schools that achieved outstanding results at the event to help further develop their achievements.
The first-place winner received Rp5 million in support, while the second- and third-place winners each received Rp2 million.
The assistance is intended to encourage schools and teachers to continuously foster children's creativity. The regent also underscored the important role of teachers in guiding children's development, particularly in education, creativity and character building.
In addition to supporting activities for young children, Asri Ludin also responded to a proposal from the
Bandar Khalipah Village Government concerning the development of the Kata-Bima Sports Field. The
Deli Serdang Regency Government will assess the needs required to support the facility's development.
"We will assess what we can improve or develop at this sports field. I want this place to become a gathering point for the villagers. To the children, I urge you to continue developing your abilities. And to the teachers, continue guiding and supporting our children," he said.
According to the regent, a village sports field should not be used solely for sporting activities. The facility can also serve as a place for residents to interact, a space where children can develop their talents, and a venue for strengthening community cohesion.
The Deli Serdang Regency Government, he said, would continue to assess the needs of the sports field so that the facility can provide even greater benefits to the people of Bandar Khalipah in the future.

Driven by Community Aspirations
Earlier,
Bandar Khalipah Village Head Suparyo explained that the Children's Jamboree for TK/RA schools was initiated based on the outcomes of the development planning forum (Musrenbang) and the aspirations of PAUD administrators.
According to Suparyo, the event serves not only as a platform for various children's activities but also as a major gathering for PAUD children, teachers, school administrators, parents and the entire Bandar Khalipah community.
"We are very happy that the regent and his wife found the time to come and be with us. May what we are doing together be blessed and rewarded by Allah SWT," he said.
Suparyo explained that the Bandar Khalipah Village Government began preparing the event three years ago. What initially started as a modest event has continued to grow through sustained cooperation with various partners. This year, around 1,000 PAUD children were able to participate.
The
Bandar Khalipah Village Government has also planned to hold a similar event next year. The Children's Jamboree for TK/RA schools has been incorporated into the village development plan so that the event can continue to be held in the years ahead.
This continuity demonstrates that activities arising from community aspirations can grow when village governments, schools, parents, residents and other partners work closely together. The Children's Jamboree for TK/RA schools across Bandar Khalipah Village is therefore not merely an annual event, but also a gathering point for various elements of society working together to support children's development.
The participation of thousands of children also demonstrates the community's strong interest in educational and creativity programs for young children. The cultural and creative parade at the beginning of the event was likewise an important component, introducing children to cultural diversity while giving them valuable experience in appearing before the public.
The Deli Serdang regent hopes that the spirit generated by the event will be maintained. He called on teachers to continue accompanying and guiding the children, parents to maintain their support, and village governments to create spaces where children can continue developing their abilities.
Through strong collaboration, community-based activities such as the Children's Jamboree for TK/RA schools across
Bandar Khalipah Village can also grow in other villages. The
Deli Serdang Regency Government therefore intends to give villages the opportunity to develop similar events according to their respective potential and community needs.
The event was also attended by North Sumatra Regional Legislative Council (DPRD Sumut) member from the Democratic Party Anita Lubis, the head of Percut Sei Tuan District, representatives of relevant government agencies, representatives of the Forkopimcam, the Bandar Khalipah Village Government, teachers and operators of TK/RA schools, PAUD administrators, as well as parents and jamboree participants.
