DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Deli Serdang Regency Team for Family Empowerment and Welfare (TP PKK) is strengthening the competence of its cadres and program managers through the 2026 Training on Program Management and Counseling in Family Empowerment and Welfare (LP3PKK). The event was held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Taman Cadika Deli Serdang.

PKK cadres and program managers. The training aimed to improve their competence, understanding, and skills in implementing various family empowerment and welfare programs at the village and regency levels.
LP3PKK is one of the initiatives undertaken by the Deli Serdang TP PKK to strengthen the role of cadres as the driving force behind programs within the community. During the event, participants were not only provided with knowledge of program management but were also encouraged to apply the knowledge and experience they gained in their respective areas.
PKK Programs Must Be Sustainable
Asniar Lom Lom Suwondo, Advisor I of the Deli Serdang TP PKK, who served as one of the speakers at the event, emphasized the importance of consistency and sustainability in implementing every PKK program. In her view, the success of a program cannot be measured solely by achievements in competitions.
According to Asniar, a village's success in implementing a PKK program should serve as a source of learning for other villages. In this way, proven approaches can be shared and benefit a wider segment of the community.
"It is not only about winning a competition. If a village wins, it should not stop there. It should serve as an example for neighboring villages. What has been implemented there is an experience that must be continued by the villages that follow," she said.
She urged cadres to continuously develop successful programs so that their benefits can be felt directly by the community. In her view, PKK programs must reach various aspects of family life, including improving quality of life and strengthening household economic conditions.
One possible step, Asniar said, is making productive use of home gardens. In addition to meeting part of a family's own needs, utilizing available garden space can create additional income opportunities for households.
"Every family has a garden that can be used for its own needs while also generating income to meet household needs by engaging in agriculture there," she added.
According to Asniar, utilizing home gardens is a simple example of how family empowerment programs can have a direct impact. Families can not only make use of resources available around their homes but also develop productive activities that contribute to household economic resilience.

Do Not Stop After Receiving an Award
Asniar also reminded cadres not to discontinue programs after receiving an award. Instead, awards should serve as motivation to maintain and further develop successful programs.
Achievements at the village level, she said, must continue to receive attention so that they do not become merely temporary accomplishments. Cadres should ensure the sustainability of programs and gradually develop them until they can contribute at the district, regency, provincial, and even national levels.
"You must not simply forget what has already been achieved after winning. You receive an award and then the program disappears. That should not happen. What has worked well must be continued," she emphasized.
She expressed hope that all LP3PKK participants would take with them the knowledge and experience gained during the event. The knowledge is expected to be passed on to other cadres so that more cadres acquire the skills needed to manage and implement PKK programs.
Asniar also urged cadres to maintain their motivation in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. The success of family empowerment programs, she said, requires the commitment, perseverance, and dedication of cadres who work directly with the community.
"Do not become tired and do not lose your motivation. This is your commitment and dedication. Prove that you can carry out the duties and responsibilities entrusted to you," she said firmly.
The message is also intended to encourage
PKK cadres not to treat programs merely as routine organizational tasks. Instead, they are expected to understand the needs of the community and translate them into concrete activities that provide tangible benefits to families.

North Sumatra TP PKKAs part of LP3PKK 2026, participants also deepened their knowledge through presentations delivered by two representatives of the North Sumatra Provincial TP PKK. They were Advisor II of the North Sumatra Provincial TP PKK, Drs. Ruhyat, and Secretary II of the North Sumatra Provincial TP PKK, Sitti Baninaa.
The representatives of the North Sumatra Provincial TP PKK provided additional insights to the cadres and program managers of the Deli Serdang TP PKK. Participants were able to deepen their understanding of program management while also improving their skills in providing counseling to the community.
Through LP3PKK 2026, the Deli Serdang TP PKK hopes to further strengthen the competence of its cadres and program managers. The improved skills are expected to help cadres manage programs, provide counseling, and mobilize the community toward building more independent and prosperous families.
Strengthening cadre competence is also an important component in ensuring the continuity of PKK programs at the village and regency levels. Cadres with adequate knowledge and skills can implement programs more effectively while adapting them to the needs of communities in their respective areas.
The event was also attended by members of the Deli Serdang TP PKK executive board, as well as PKK cadres and program managers. The presence of the board members and cadres underscored their shared commitment to continuously strengthening the implementation of family empowerment and welfare programs in Deli Serdang Regency.
LP3PKK 2026 is not intended to remain merely a training activity. Rather, the event provides cadres with an opportunity to bring the knowledge and experience they have gained into the community, continue proven approaches, and develop various innovations that can strengthen family self-reliance.
Through this commitment, the Deli Serdang TP PKK is encouraging its cadres to remain active and consistently implement its programs.
