DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - Deli Serdang Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan inspected the condition of the Sei Krio Bridge in Medan Krio Village, Sunggal District, on Monday, July 27, 2026. The inspection was conducted to ensure that the infrastructure, built through collaboration between the Indonesian Military (TNI), village administration, and local residents, continues to function optimally and provides maximum benefits for the community.
During the visit, Asri Ludin was accompanied by the Commander of
Sunggal Military Rayon (Danramil 01/Sunggal) under Kodim 0204/
Deli Serdang, Captain Kav Murfhi Khairuddin. Both inspected the concrete bridge directly, which serves as an important transportation link for local residents.
Asri Ludin said the Sei Krio Bridge represents a concrete example of cooperation between the regional government, TNI, village administration, and the community in implementing essential infrastructure projects.
Regent Urges Compliance With Bridge Load Limit
During the inspection, Asri Ludin instructed officials to install an information board displaying the bridge's maximum load capacity of 15 tons. The board will also include information regarding TNI's involvement in the construction project as an appreciation for the collaboration that made the infrastructure possible.
According to Asri Ludin, the information is important so residents and all road users understand the bridge's capacity limit and work together to maintain the quality of the
infrastructure that has been built.
"I would like to thank my colleagues from the TNI. In the future, we must continue reminding each other that this bridge has a capacity of 15 tons. A bridge that has been properly constructed must not be damaged quickly due to usage exceeding its load limit," Asri Ludin said.
He emphasized that
infrastructure development is not solely the responsibility of the government but also requires public awareness and participation so that public facilities can be used and maintained according to their intended purpose.

Strengthening Cooperation to Prevent Flooding
In addition to inspecting the bridge, Asri Ludin instructed district and village administrations, along with residents, to reactivate the culture of mutual cooperation (Gotong Royong) regularly every Friday.
The community activities will focus on cleaning various environmental and
infrastructure facilities, including drainage systems, flood-prone areas, irrigation channels for agricultural land, and clogged ditches.
Asri Ludin explained that routine environmental maintenance is an important step to prevent various problems, particularly water accumulation and disruptions to agricultural irrigation systems used by residents.
He stated that
infrastructure that has already been built must be continuously maintained so its benefits can be enjoyed by the community in the long term.
"We must not wait until flooding occurs before taking action. Gotong Royong must become a habit. Let us clean ditches, water channels, and vulnerable areas so that water can flow properly and residents' rice fields continue to receive adequate irrigation," Asri Ludin said.
He expressed hope that residents would not only become users of public facilities but also actively participate in maintaining the surrounding environment, ensuring that development programs continue to provide positive impacts.

On the occasion, Asri Ludin called on all elements of society to work together in protecting various public facilities created through multi-party cooperation.
He assessed that the synergy between the regional government,
TNI, and residents is a key factor in accelerating development and ensuring that the results of
infrastructure projects can be preserved sustainably.
"This infrastructure was built for the benefit of the community. If we maintain it together, the benefits will be felt for much longer. The government, TNI, and residents must continue working together to preserve what has already been created," he concluded.

Deli Serdang, Jelita
Asri Ludin Tambunan, along with board members, several heads of Regional Government Organizations (OPD),
Sunggal District Head M Guntur Endar Bumi Nasution, and other representatives.
Through this activity, the Deli Serdang Government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening infrastructure development while increasing public awareness regarding the maintenance of existing public facilities. (IDNC)
