Education as a Pillar of Regional Development

In his speech, the Deputy Regent praised the Al UMM Smart Center Foundation, which he considered to have made a significant contribution to improving education quality in Deli Serdang Regency.

He stated that Islamic-based educational institutions play an important role not only in providing academic knowledge but also in strengthening students' character, morality, and religious values.

"On behalf of the Deli Serdang Regency Government, I would like to express my appreciation to the founders, the foundation management, Ustaz and Ustazah, as well as all educators who continue to work toward creating quality human resources. The existence of Al UMM Smart Center is concrete evidence that quality education can be achieved through shared responsibility and concern for the future of the next generation," said Lom Lom.

He explained that the presence of Al UMM Smart Center aligns with Deli Serdang's development vision of creating a healthy, intelligent, prosperous, religious, and sustainable society.

Lom Lom stressed that the regional government continues to prioritize education as a strategic sector because it has a major impact on improving the quality of life of the community. According to him, education is not merely a means of transferring knowledge but also a space for developing the character of young people.

He added that the success of an educational institution should not only be measured by students' academic achievements. Schools must also provide a safe, comfortable, and healthy learning environment that encourages creativity and positive character development.

"We want to build Deli Serdang on a strong educational foundation. Quality education must be supported by professional teachers, dedicated educational personnel, adequate facilities, and a learning environment that encourages children's creativity and character development," he said.

Lom Lom also appreciated the high level of public trust in Al UMM Smart Center. The increasing number of students each year, he said, demonstrates the institution's ability to provide quality educational services and meet community expectations.

"Public trust does not come automatically. It is the result of the hard work of everyone at the school who consistently provides the best educational services. When parents entrust their children's education to this institution, it shows that the quality and benefits of the education provided can be felt," he stated.

Students Encouraged to Dream Big and Pursue Success

On the occasion, Lom Lom also motivated students to continue improving their enthusiasm for learning and set ambitious goals for their future.

He emphasized that a person's success is not solely determined by family background or economic conditions, but by the willingness to learn, work hard, and pray.

"Never be afraid to dream. Set your goals as high as the stars in the sky. Study seriously, respect your teachers and parents, and take every opportunity to expand your knowledge. Education is the best path toward achieving a better future," he told the students.

During an interactive session with ceremony participants, Lom Lom asked several students about their future aspirations. The children shared various dreams, including becoming leaders, succeeding in different professional fields, making their parents proud, and taking them on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

Lom Lom appreciated these aspirations and explained that education must be able to build optimism and self-confidence among children so they can develop big dreams and achieve them through hard work, discipline, and strong moral values.

He further explained that the Deli Serdang Government will continue strengthening the education sector through various programs and policies aimed at improving the quality of human resources.

These efforts include enhancing teacher competency, strengthening students' character, and expanding access to quality education.

"We want to ensure that children in Deli Serdang receive the best education. Education must not only create intelligent generations but also people with good values, social awareness, and the spirit to build their region," he said.

The Deputy Regent's visit to Al UMM Smart Center represents the Deli Serdang Government's support for educational institutions that actively contribute to developing an outstanding generation.
