MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM - Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumatra Bagian Utara (Sumbagut) has confirmed that fuel supply (BBM – Bahan Bakar Minyak) across North Sumatra Province remains stable and operates normally. The company has denied reports claiming that several transportation service providers had halted fuel deliveries to a number of gas stations (SPBU) due to delayed payments.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut emphasized that the circulating information does not reflect the actual operational conditions in the field. The company assured that all fuel distribution activities continue as usual, with its tanker fleet remaining operational according to the needs of the public.

Fuel Distribution Continues According to Plan

Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Fahrougi Andriani, stated that fuel distribution operations throughout North Sumatra remain fully guaranteed. Pertamina continues to maintain supply availability through the support of Fuel Terminals and gas stations (SPBU), which operate 24 hours a day.

"Fuel distribution continues to run optimally. The tankers are still operating and delivering fuel to SPBUs according to the established supply system. We ensure there has been no interruption in distribution due to payment issues with transportation service providers, as previously reported," Fahrougi said in an official statement on Friday, July 17, 2026.

He explained that Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut continues to maintain cooperation with all transportation partners. Administrative processes and payments to partners are managed professionally and in accordance with applicable regulations to ensure that energy supply for the public remains unaffected.
