SD Negeri 112288 Sukarame Holds Warm and Festive Closing Ceremony for 2026 Student Orientation Program

ORIENTATION PROGRAM CONCLUDES: SD Negeri 112288 Sukarame in Sukarame Village, Kualuh Hulu District, Labuhanbatu Utara Regency, officially concluded its Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS) in a festive atmosphere. Teachers, senior students, and parents warmly welcomed the new first-grade students as they began the 2026/2027 academic year.

LABUHANBATU UTARA | INDATANEWS.COM - A warm and festive atmosphere filled the campus of SD Negeri 112288 Sukarame in Sukarame Village, Kualuh Hulu District, Labuhanbatu Utara Regency, on Thursday, July 16, 2026, as the school officially concluded its Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS), or School Orientation Program, for newly enrolled first-grade students of the 2026/2027 academic year. The event successfully combined educational activities, entertainment, and community engagement to provide an unforgettable welcome for the young learners.

Early in the morning, the new first-grade students gathered with their parents at the open area in front of the mosque across from the school. They assembled in an orderly formation before taking part in the official welcoming procession prepared by the school. Meanwhile, teachers waited on the school grounds, while students from Grades Two through Six were seated under a large event tent, eagerly awaiting the arrival of their new schoolmates.

As the procession entered the school compound, the atmosphere reached its peak. Two clowns accompanied the children during the ceremonial entrance, while a teacher guided them toward the main event area. Cheerful music and enthusiastic applause from the older students created a memorable welcome, giving the new pupils an inspiring start to their elementary school journey.

Upon arriving at the venue, all first-grade students lined up in the front row and performed a song they had practiced throughout the orientation program. Their performance received warm applause from parents, teachers, and fellow students.

Another touching moment followed when first-grade student Joy Brianna Siahaan performed the song Kaulah Ibuku. Her heartfelt performance created an emotional atmosphere that deeply moved both parents and teachers. The celebration continued with students from Grades Two through Six presenting a traditional welcome dance as a gesture of appreciation for their new classmates and their families.

Principal Encourages Strong Parent-School Partnership

During the closing ceremony, Principal Lisanuddin Siregar, S.Pd., addressed the new students and their parents, expressing his sincere appreciation for the trust families had placed in the school.

"We sincerely thank all parents for entrusting the education of their children to SD Negeri 112288 Sukarame. We also hope for your continued support and active involvement so that the teaching and learning process can run successfully," Lisanuddin Siregar said.

He emphasized that the successful implementation of the MPLS program was made possible through the strong collaboration of the entire school community, including teachers and senior students who actively contributed to welcoming the newcomers.

"We hope our new first-grade students will feel comfortable at SD Negeri 112288 Sukarame and come to regard the school as their second home," he added.

Lisanuddin Siregar also introduced parents and students to the school's facilities, classrooms, and teaching staff, explaining the educational environment that will accompany the children throughout the academic year.

Interactive School Introduction Enhances Parents' Understanding

As part of the program, the organizing committee presented the school's profile on a large-screen television. The presentation provided parents and new students with comprehensive information about the school's facilities, educational programs, and teaching staff.

The engaging visual presentation made it easier for families to understand the school's learning environment, giving parents greater confidence in the educational setting where their children will begin their academic journey.

The entire event proceeded smoothly and orderly, receiving enthusiastic responses from both students and parents.

Quiz, Games, and Dance Bring Celebration to a Joyful Close

Following the school introduction, the organizing committee hosted a variety of educational games and an interactive quiz, offering books and cash prizes to participants. Students from Grades One through Six enthusiastically joined every activity.

Laughter, cheers, and excitement filled the schoolyard as children eagerly answered questions presented by the event hosts. Beyond providing entertainment, the activities were designed to strengthen students' confidence while fostering an enjoyable and positive learning environment.

The festive atmosphere continued as all students participated together in group exercise and dance sessions accompanied by the songs Kupu-kupu Terbang Melayang and Kicau Mania. Filled with enthusiasm, the children followed every movement, transforming the schoolyard into a lively and energetic celebration.

To conclude the event, all teachers gathered with the new first-grade students for a commemorative group photograph marking the completion of the 2026/2027 MPLS program. Parents were then invited to a specially prepared photo area to capture memorable moments with their children.

The successful conclusion of the orientation program marked an encouraging beginning for the new students as they embark on their elementary education. Through a warm and family-oriented atmosphere, they became acquainted with their school, teachers, and senior classmates.
