DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Deputy Regent of Deli Serdang, Lom Lom Suwondo SS, took part in a camping and overnight activity with the Deli Serdang Scout Movement contingent during the 11th North Sumatra Regional Scout Camp (Jamdasu XI) 2026 at the Sibolangit Camping Ground on Saturday night, July 11, 2026.

Lom Lom's presence reflected the Deli Serdang Regency Government's direct support for the scouts participating in the regional event. He mingled with participants, mentors, trainers, and members of the Deli Serdang Scout Movement Branch Leadership Council (Kwarcab), experiencing an atmosphere filled with togetherness and solidarity at the campsite.

Previously, Lom Lom joined North Sumatra Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, along with regents and mayors from across North Sumatra, in attending the campfire ceremony, one of the main highlights of Jamdasu XI. The event was attended by thousands of Penggalang and Penegak-level scouts from regencies and cities throughout North Sumatra.

Campfire Ceremony Strengthens Unity Among Scouts

In his address at the campfire ceremony, North Sumatra Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution said the campfire carried an important meaning for all members of the Scout Movement. He stated that the fire symbolized spirit, unity, mutual support, and friendship that should continue to grow among every participant.

"The young people attending this jamboree today are the next generation who will continue the development of North Sumatra and the Republic of Indonesia in the future," he said.

Bobby explained that various activities and educational programs during the jamboree would not only provide participants with outdoor living experiences but also encourage independence and develop skills to face various challenges in today's era.

He also emphasized the importance of preparing the younger generation to face changing times, including increasing awareness of the dangers of drug abuse and the challenges arising from the digital world.

After the campfire ceremony, Lom Lom, who also serves as Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Council (Mabicab) of the Deli Serdang Scout Movement Branch Organization, held a gathering with the entire Deli Serdang contingent.

During the meeting, Lom Lom shared dinner with participants, mentors, trainers, contingent companions, and members of the Deli Serdang Scout Movement Kwarcab leadership board.

Lom Lom Ensures Contingent Members Remain Healthy and Motivated

During his meeting with participants, Lom Lom welcomed the scouts and ensured that all members of the Deli Serdang contingent remained in good health and continued to participate enthusiastically in every activity of Jamdasu XI 2026.

"I see that our children are healthy and continue to participate with great enthusiasm. I thank the mentors, trainers, and all scout leaders who have accompanied and guided our children throughout this jamboree," he said.

According to Lom Lom, the jamboree plays an important role in shaping the character of the younger generation. Through this event, participants learn independence, discipline, adaptability, teamwork, and how to build friendships with scouts from different regions.

"Through this jamboree, young participants learn how to live independently, maintain discipline, work together, and build friendships. These values will become important foundations for their future," he added.

He also reminded participants that their participation in the jamboree represented the trust given by their parents, which must be maintained with a strong sense of responsibility.

"The message from fathers and mothers at home is that you grow into strong and independent individuals who can make Deli Serdang proud. Use this opportunity to learn as much as possible and build a broad network of friendships," Lom Lom said.
