BANDUNG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Secretary of Aceh Province, M. Nasir, S.IP., MPA, attended the public doctoral promotion session conferring a Doctor of Business Administration degree on Ir. H. T.A. Khalid, M.M. The academic event was held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Graduate School building of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), Bandung. His presence represented the official Government of Aceh delegation in recognition and appreciation of an outstanding academic achievement by a native son of Aceh.
The ceremony took place in a dignified academic atmosphere and was attended by scholars, government officials, and guests from various regions. The Secretary of Aceh Province was accompanied by several officials from the Aceh Provincial Work Units (SKPA), underscoring the government's institutional commitment to strengthening human capital development.

Nasir extended his congratulations and appreciation for the successful completion of the doctoral study by Ir. H.

ESG Research and the Role of Parliament in Financial Performance
During the open doctoral session, Ir. H.
T.A. Khalid, M.M. presented his dissertation titled "The Influence of
ESG Disclosure on Corporate Financial Performance with the Role of Parliament as a Mediating Variable." The study examines in depth the relationship between the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and corporate
financial performance.
The research highlights how ESG reporting transparency impacts corporate outcomes, while positioning parliament as a mediating variable that strengthens governance oversight and economic policy control.
The dissertation findings are expected to contribute both academically and practically to the development of more transparent, accountable, and sustainable corporate governance, particularly in response to global demands for responsible business practices.
